Monsoon Bar and Grill is a hidden gem in Maui that serves up an unforgettable dining experience. If you’re craving flavorful Indian cuisine with a touch of aloha, this spot is a must-visit. The combination of great food, warm service, and stunning ocean views makes it stand out.

Nice place to sit and dine. The ocean and beaches are just across the wall of the restaurant and you feel like dining on the beach. Nice service

Robbery. Not an upscale restaurant but charges insane prices. Entrees don't include rice. Go somewhere else.

Good to visit if you are craving some indian food, great ambience. Honestly did not expect much authenticity but the taste was good

We ordered chili chicken, garlic naan, poori, and chicken tikka masala. All the items were average. If you crave Indian food and have no other option, I think this place would do. But I don't recommend traveling especially to this restaurant.

BEWARE! We asked for separate checks and they said they just ring you up at the counter so you can tell them which dishes to charge you for. What they don't tell you is that they add automatic gratuity on parties of 4 or more, then let me add an additional 20% tip on my bill that already included their added 18%. Food was great, service was mediocre. Seems like our server was serving the entire place. They didn't even show me a totalled bill, it's all done via computer and tap credit card machine.

This is the worst Indian food I have ever had! Please don’t waste your $$ on this food. The curry was so bad and meat was so hard! We just got chicken curry.

No one deserves to each such horrible food! So disappointing! They are selling the location not food.

I wouldn’t recommend if you looking for authentic Indian food. Don’t get fooled by other high reviews . Atmosphere is good . Service is very slow , took more than 40 minutes for starters , so we left after eating starters because we didn’t want to wait for food anymore. Food is not Indian .. it is modified Indian food to cater to western people’s taste buds . It is very mild & bland. I wish they can hire some good Indian cooks & use indian ingredients & spices more.

The Food and drinks are always very good. Never disappoints. The service hasn’t been the best lately, but that won’t stop me from going.

Big venue, big prices but awful food. This restaurant is a joke.

We had ordered Malai Kofta with Garlic Naan. Server took forever to show up for taking our order. After ordering the food we had to wait for good 10 minutes. After waiting we were greeted with curry that was cold and had no taste. Naan was less than mediocre. Server showed up when we were almost done having dinner, we complained about the malai kofta curry’s taste but she refused to take it off of the order and gave us very rude response. Please save yourself from the misery and do yourself a favor by avoiding this place at all cost. Taco bell will be your best bet compared to this awful restaurant which is super overpriced for the underwhelming taste.

How to ruin your evening in Hawaii?
Bad food, poor service and location.
Start off first this restaurant is located inside a dark resort.
This is first time ever waited 10 mins to be seated in a half empty restaurant. We thought they were short on employee
Then the server took good 20 min to stop by and take the order
Then the water down sour curry comes in about 10-15 mins. We ordered malai kofta which is usually sweet and creamy.
Then we informed the server and she’s said we should have let her know early, but she never came to even check on us.

Bottom line, don’t be excited for this place! Lol
We were very disappointed with food, service and ambiance (open window with no views)

Consistently delicious food! I eat here at least once a month and find myself looking forward to my next visit as soon as I complete the present one. I enjoy spicy food, but you really have to convince them you can handle it, otherwise it’s perfectly mild. If you don’t like spicy, they can accommodate this, too. Large, clean, and well appointed dining hall. Beautiful views, right on the water, in a perfect location for sunset viewing. I have always received exceptional service.

Very authentic Indian taste food with balanced level of spices and aroma. Literally one of the best Indian restaurants in the country. Both quality of food and ocean front ambience takes and earns a 6 star award!

The Monsoon bar and grill has top notch Indian cuisine and an amazing atmosphere. I had the Chicken tiki Marsala and the garlic cheese naan bread on my last visit and it was excellent. Definitely one of my favorite places to get Indian food, would definitely recommend based upon that alone. Besides the great food, the atmosphere is exceptional. The view of the ocean from the restaurant is breathtaking, especially when the sun sets across the ocean. The food and the view make this a place a would recommend to anyone in the area or planning a visit to Maui.
