I wont recommend this place at all. The atmosphere is really bad and not at all clean. The service is worse and no one shows up or even offers water unless you ask them to serve you water atleast couple of times. The food is bad as well and not at all up to the mark.

I would love to review the food, but never got to the point of even being able to order, despite having a reservation. It is complete chaos there. There was no line and no accurate wait time. We had a wait time, with the reservation, yes. It wasn’t five or ten minutes. It was 30-40 min, after which I was told they may not be able to seat us.
If you are going with a big party, I highly recommend DONT.

I want to share my experience here honestly, as it was extremely disappointing and frustrating.
I do want to start by saying that some of the staff were polite and courteous on an individual level. Unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of our visit, and the sole reason this place even deserves consideration for a single star.
We had a confirmed reservation at Monsoon and arrived on time, expecting a reasonable wait, if any. Instead, we were told our reservation could not be honored. What made this situation truly unacceptable was watching multiple parties who arrived after us, without reservations, being seated ahead of us. When we asked for clarification, the explanations were vague, dismissive, and inconsistent, making it very clear that reservations here mean absolutely nothing.
To make matters worse, the dining area was uncomfortably warm, as the air conditioning either wasn’t working or wasn’t turned on. Combined with the wait, this made the experience even more unpleasant and showed a lack of concern for basic customer comfort.
While waiting, I used the restroom, and that only added to the negative experience. The bathrooms were noticeably dirty and poorly maintained, which is especially concerning in a restaurant. If basic cleanliness isn’t being prioritized in areas customers can see, it raises serious concerns about standards elsewhere.
What left me truly appalled was the complete lack of accountability or effort to resolve the reservation issue. There was no apology, no attempt to make accommodations, and no respect shown for our time. It felt as though management simply did not care, assuming we would either wait indefinitely or leave, which we ultimately did.
Dining out, especially at a restaurant like this, is about trust and hospitality. Cancelling reservations while seating later walk-ins, combined with poor cleanliness and an uncomfortable dining environment, is straight up disrespectful. If Monsoon cannot manage reservations fairly or maintain basic standards, they should not offer reservations at all.
This experience reflects very poorly on the restaurant’s organization, cleanliness, and priorities. Customers deserve transparency, honesty, and basic respect.
Do better.

Poor booking system and nobody answers the phone. Below average food and totally under- staffed. Wait was 1hr+ for a basic 2 curries and 3 naans. On the top, gratuity of 18% is a mandatory surcharge not optional - very ridiculous, never seen that. Not sure how much actually goes to the staff. As if this wasn’t enough, there is 4% kitchen appreciation surcharge - again not worth a cent when you wait for 1 hr for basic food. Would never go again or recommend to anyone.
We have waited around 2 hours including the waiting time get seated and giving our order for food
There were still empty table which was around vacant around 45 mins or so
During our waiting time we heard people are talking to give bad review
Infact for them “just a minute” means 15 mins.
I know they ate busy but fully understaff or not able to manage
Thanks to the gentleman who from the bar is helping the other dinning staff with setting up the table or cleaning up
They are not uniform in keeping track of the waiting list . People are waiting in queue but someone from outside of the queue connect to the staff to write their name and number
This should have been managed properly . Atleast they should add the name as per first in first out.
Though this was my first time but very disappointed with the service
BTW i dont know if the food is still good or not because as of now we have not been served with food . The staff said few minutes more when we asked for food . Even though it was more than 45 mins
Again the price is comparatively higher than other places
We tried other food trucks which were much more better options than this . Completely waste of time

Very disappointing food. Nowhere close to authentic indian as restaurants highlights. The only positive is view from the restaurant but you forget about it very quickly after the disappointing food you get. Recommend try other nearby places, several have vegetarian options with nice vibes.

Mediocre food, waited for 40 mins to get a table and 1hr after ordering food for it to arrive at the table, the restaurant is understaffed. Food flavors are average but expensive, overall wouldn’t recommend this place.

Worst service I’ve ever encountered! Extremely disrespectful and not ADA friendly due to difficult parking, difficult accessibility, rude and discriminatory service, false advertising, including falsely posted reservation slots without sufficient capacity! I would rate this zero or negative stars if I could. Do not eat here!
We visited this restaurant as a recommendation, and our experience was completely different! This place lacks basic human respect for customers. We later learned that we were unfortunately not unique in our terrible experience and there are numerous reviews posted here and on other review sites of decreased quality and terrible service! Some groups (independent incidences) were even asked if they wanted to sit on the ground!
They are extremely understaffed, but that does not allow them to be rude to customers! Several parties, including ours, had made reservations over 24 hours in advance, and showed up on time. However, the line was extremely slow (no host or hostess, and Mai from the bar was the one asking if people wanted to sit on the floor during our visit). By the time groups got to the front, many times, their table had been given away to a different group for “not checking in on time” even though the groups had been waiting in line with no one to greet them for over 15 minutes!
I saw numerous groups walking out this evening for multiple reasons, most extremely frustrated, exhausted from the long (over 30 minute) waits, and some even yelled at from the restaurant staff (Mai). I will never be returning to this restaurant!
I have never experienced anything of this sort in the service industry and hope never to again, but I strongly urge anyone reading this to skip visiting this place! Every other place we ate at + experienced in Maui is significantly better than this - no one deserves this level of disrespect!!

Worst service I have experienced in a restaurant and incredible level of disrespect from May. We had a reservation at 7:30 that we arrived for on time. May refused to seat us since she said she gave up our table and asked if we wanted to be seated on the ground. She then said we need to leave the restaurant. Our father is in a wheelchair and they had not opened the wheelchair access. May proceeded to tell us that she loved that he had to struggle to leave the restaurant. We will have to report this restaurant to the govt and
tourism dept for accessibility challenges and disability discrimination

Never ever go to this place. The person named May is horrible. Very rude and she doesn’t even know how to talk to customers. Very bad attitude. Family was in the line before me and had reservations 24 hours ago, she gave the table to someone. Can you believe this? Even then she was arguing. She should be fired. She doesn’t know how to talk to people.
Someone recommended us from New Jersey to come and see Cheryl but she didn’t even let us talk to her.
She must be fired

May, the bar manager, is extremely disrespectful and one of the rudest people I’ve ever interacted with in the service industry.
Would rate negative stars if I could. We had a 7:30 reservation and they refused to seat us even though we showed up on time and were waiting in their long seating line. When we finally reached the front of the line they said our table was given away.
The cherry on top is they refused my handicapped father seating and told us the wheelchair access was closed even though their website says wheelchair accessible.
Would highly recommend avoiding this place.
