This was my first visit to Morimoto in Maui. My expectation was too high so I was a bit disappointed by the value prop. Not sure of whether I revisit in the future.

We enjoyed an amazing meal at Morimoto Restaurant on Maui Our server, Mike, was very attentive to our needs, gave great recommendations and very friendly. The food was outstanding and beautifully presented.

The food is always top notch. Our server was Mikie and he was great. The bar was off this night for some reason and took 40 minutes for a cocktail. Food came out fast! We were told it was a new bartender and he ran out of everything at once and had to restock. Plenty of servers just not bartenders. Highly recommend the restaurant for great and reliable eats.

My partner and I ordered the sticky ribs, buri bap, sashimi platter, and special of the day - a fried whole fish in a sweet chili sauce. We also had the premium sake flight and ube cheesecake. Dishes were plated well and food was generally tasty. We had no complaints, but at the same time we didn't find any main dish to be particularly unique or outstanding given the price point. The highlight of the meal for me was actually the cheesecake - it came with toasted coconut pieces and a citrus sauce that I thought was creative and paired well.

Tables and chairs are uncomfortable. Tables are too tall for chairs, and 2 person tables sit couples too far apart. Filet was excellent. Sushi roll was boring. Dessert (flaming ball), was too hard and not very flavorful. Service was awkward.

Our trip to Morimoto was amazing! Me and my family went here for a dinner while staying in Maui. Not only was the food amazing but our server, Ashley, provided amazing service. She explained the dishes on the menu poetically and accommodated my wife’s allergies very well. She was such a welcoming and warm person and served my family spectacularly, even being a new server at the restaurant. The food was flavorful and served quickly. I would highly recommend stopping here during you stay in Hawaii!
