Had a great experience ordering 2 1/2 pans of food for a party. I came in the day before and ordered. The next day at 2PM it was ready and waiting. Friendly staff!

Difficult to find but worth it. Nice collection of Filipino foods and a hot food deli.

Rude older Filipina woman serving as the cashier. When I asked what the hot food menu was, she was rude in her response as if I was bothering her. The food tasted like it was out for a while even though I was there at 12:55 pm. The food was ok at best.

My fiance who is not Filipino just told me about this place. He said he always eats here when he's in kihei and I never heard of it. I'm a bad Filipino lol.Anywho, we were in between feedings yesterday with my almost 1 month old baby and made it out to kihei for a Yelp Elite event. He watched baby in the car while I went in. Afterwards, we stopped here for Filipino food and they did not disappoint. I got a plate with pork gisantes, chicken adobo and the pork on the stick and it was so ono. He got daniguan and pinakbet. He's not even Filipino and he loves daniguan. Bad Filipino girlfriend here doesnt eat it lol. He loves their food and I'm hooked now. I love how hole in the wall places have some of the greatest meals. If you're in kihei, check them out. You won't be disappointed

Horrible experience!!! Food wasn't fresh, my daughter threw up later that night after eating katsu. None of the prices and selections we found online were available. Lady at register kept telling us our bank cards were declined to force us to pay cash, not cool. We were on the island for 15 days and this is the only place that did this cash scam. Definitely felt like visitors to the island are not welcome here!

Very pricey. No price tags on any produce and 2 pieces of chicken from the hot food selection cost me 9 bucks.
The lady serving our food was very rude. As a Filipino, we like to think that we all are the same and give the same generosity and kindness to all. However, this lady was exceptionally rude and arrogant. The food was average. She needs to be trained on how to properly display customer service etiquette. As a consumer and a proud Pinay, I do NOT recommend this place.

sometimes if you pay with card theyll say the price of whatever you bought but theyll charge a dollar or more than what they actually say and sometimes the milk and meat are rotten.

I have visited Philmart many many times over the years. Have lived in Kihei since 2009. It's a go to spot for many locals and Filipinos. I will keep this simple and break the review down into what I believe are the pros and cons: Pros: - Good selection of Filipino items, many imported - Convenient hours of operation - Reasonably priced hot food bar with good portion sizes - offers catering size platters for parties and events - plenty of parking Cons: - Prices are not posted on the shelves and are not itemized on the receipt (opportunity for corruption) - Cramped and uncomfortable shopping environment (very small aisles, stuff stacked up all over the place, can get hot inside with so little airflow and heat from the refrigerator and freezer motors circulating around the store) - Poor customer service (1 employee in the storefront; rarely says hello, goodbye, thank you, may I help you, how was everything - - - I had an issue with the card reader and she took my card, scanned it herself and signed the electronic signature herself...which is illegal) - Questionable Covid-19 Health procedures (cashier seen not wearing a mask while ringing me up; strange vapor "sterilizing" blowing machine next to the entrance exit that you cannot avoid and must walk through the mist as you enter and exit) If there's a particular item you have in mind you're looking for, feel free to swing by and see if they have it. They very well may. But I'd suggest to ask the price of the items before you begin to be ringed up. The cashier doesn't seem to care about whether you are aware of the prices or not. She's just happy to take your money as fast as humanly possible and send you on your way, no courtesies shown. Keep expectations low. I've seen far better run Asian grocery stores but sadly, the bar in Maui is so very low...especially in Kihei.
