We tried several Açaí bowls during our time on the island, but unfortunately this one was our least favourite. The açaí didn’t taste very fresh and had more of a brownish than the usual purple colour.

Not the same as it was years ago. Minimal syrup, almost flavorless. Also made wrong flavors for my wife.. rather than start over, they dumped the ice but kept the tiny scoop of ice cream which still had the wrong flavor. Thankfully, many other options to try in the area.

We had a fantastic experience today at Beach Street Maui Shave Ice! From the moment we arrived, the staff was amazing—so friendly and welcoming. We started our day with their delicious açaí bowls and bagels for breakfast, and everything was fresh and flavorful. Later in the afternoon, we came back to try their famous shave ice, and it did not disappoint!
The shave ice was incredible we tried HAWAIIAN RAINBOW, COCONUT MUD PIE, FIRECRACKER, and KIHEI SUNSET with vibrant flavors and fun toppings, definitely worth taking the time to try.
Beach Street Maui Shave Ice is a must-visit when in Kihei—whether you’re grabbing breakfast or treating yourself to some shave ice, the quality and service make it an unforgettable stop!
