Came here after eating the vegan place next door — got a shaved ice for my wife and two scoops (pineapple & macadamia nut) — BLEW ME AWAY!! the pineapple was truly the best I’ve ever had. Such a fun place — not cheap but nothing on this island is - just enjoy the flavors!

A trip to Maui isn't complete without a a real Hawaiian shaved ice. And this place hit the spot.
It's located right at the front of the market which had a great vibe, lots of awesome local artists and small shops, and plenty of people exploring and hanging out.
We came after dinner and were able to enjoy our shaved ice while listening to live music from the nearby bar.
They guy working was super helpful and very nice. He even put on fun music for the little kids in line ahead of us to enjoy while they were there.
Be sure to check out some of the specials they have with their own combination of flavors. My sister got the Blue Wave. 😄

So yummy. I ordered the surfing monkey shave ice, small size, and I was not disappointed. And I love the sweet condensed milk they add. It didn't give me any stomach issues and normally sweetened condensed milk does.
Extremely worth it on a hot steamy night such as last night. But it's probably still incredibly steamy right now at 3:00 a.m..

Stopped by Surfing Monkey Shave Ice while exploring Kihei and it did not disappoint! I ordered a shave ice with a mix of coconut and mango, topped with sweet cream — absolutely delicious. The flavors were tropical, smooth, and super refreshing — perfect for beating the Hawaiian heat. Friendly staff and great vibes.
