The food was excellent, the service was even better! A true small town atmosphere. We ordered the meatballs and bread from the appetizer menu and it was still too much food for two of us. Definitely recommend this place.

Do yourself a favor and take the scenic drive UpCountry to the Kula Bistro. They have the best lunch by far we've had on Maui! Our server Benny was fantastic and really sincerely cared about taking care of us. My husband walked across the street and bought a bottle of wine. The restaurant encourages this and they do not charge a corkage fee (they even supplied an ice bucket for our white wine without being asked!) We started with their delicious freshly baked bread basket - (5 pieces of homemade bread with yummy garlic butter). We then split the grilled mahi mahi sandwich on homemade foccia with fries. It was absolutely mouth-watering and plenty for the two of us. (Benny said the portions were large and he was correct!) They have a beautiful mouth-watering display case of tempting cheesecake selections but we were too full. Next time! Benny told us about the history from when the building housed a meat locker (the walk-in freezers are still there and used for their dining supplies) After that it was Cafe 808 and now the Kula Bistro. They had the cattle ranchers in the area all come in and burn their unique brands on the wooden wall. I think 45 of them. How cool! The food was fantastic and the staff the best you'll find on the island!

Great food and services. We dropped by for lunch before heading to the Alpaca farm & Haleakala summit. There's a small grocery store across the street. I really enjoyed the lightly panko crusted mahi mahi with Molokai sweet purple potatoes. The potato was a bit too sweet so I couldn't finish it. Otherwise everything was delicious and expensive. Husband enjoyed his sandwich and tomato soup. Kiddos had grilled cheese. One of our favorite meals on our Maui trip. (The pickles in the photo are from my kids plate)

Been coming here for years. Last three time have all been disappointing. Will not be back. Wait time was double what was quoted, food came out one plate about every 5 minutes, we were a 6 top. Pasta was dry and flavorless. I just can’t believe how far this place has fallen…);
Our wait was 3 times longer than we were told. Once we sat down our food took forever. Plates were brought out a few at a time. The first people were done eating by the time the last dishes were delivered. 1 dish was sent back is was so dry with no flavor. We had been here before and made sure it was on our list to revisit. Very big difference from our previous visits! We won't be back. * when we complained they did take 1 meal off and half prices 2 others. But the waitress was very rude and was talking about us when we left.

Customer service is horrible. I’ve spent tons of money there and I get treated like I’m dispensable. I ask for a little thing of salad dressing or blue cheese and these people wanna charge me another five dollars on top of my $70 bill for one entrée rip off overpriced, bad customer service, food went from pretty good to junk.Girl with pierced lip is so rude and cocky. There’s no reason why she should be working in the front. My steak was supposed to be rare and I got the driest most well-done steak I’ve ever eaten.I will never eat there again

My only beef, the place seems a little sterile (lacking character), sort of Pier-1, if you ok now what I'm saying. They have unbelievable desserts, OMG! Your water glass never goes unattended, the staff helps each other to get it done, all of it!
