We celebrated my birthday here, and as usual the restaurant did not disappoint. The meal was incredible and the staff, as always, were very respectful and friendly.

STAY AWAY! RIP OFF!!!Update March 2024: NO coincidence not one of my images show up!!! This super shady place flagged them all and they no longer show.We reserved this very expensive room months prior to our visit along with dinner reservations for 8:30pm in October. They cancelled our dinner reservation for 8:30pm due to a planned power outage THE NEXT DAY but also failed to mention they were closing up at 2pm the day of our arrival. So we were complete alone...not one other car or person on the whole property.Worse yet, the room has open slats for window vents that had massive gaps. So massive the little space heater they had could not keep up and froze are buts off. Even the bathroom was a joke...mold on the ceiling...leaking windows...1 of 3 heat lamps working.CRAP FOR WIFI. NO TV. NO REAL HEAT. ABSOLUTE RIP OFF.WONT ANSWER THEIR PHONE. CREDIT CARD WONT ALLOW A DISPUTE.WE ARE OUT $450 FOR A HORRIBLE EXPERIANCE.STAY AWAY!!!Rooms: Uniqiue look. Horrible quality.

Between the two of us who dined at the Kula Lodge, there is 15 years of restaurant experience. Normally, we are very understanding of service issues and food problems, but our experience at the Kula Lodge was astoundingly bad. We were informed that there would be no wait staff for our seats outside, yet when we sat down, an employee arrived, poured us our water, and asked if we had any questions. We did not understand why this person would not simply give us menus and take our order, as they were outside bringing us food and drinks throughout the meal. The food is where our experience went sour. We ordered the traditional Eggs Benedict, the Belgian Waffle, and the Salmon Avocado Toast. The toast was fine, if underspiced. The Belgian Waffle purports to come with "chantilly cream," yet there was just a dollop of what was obviously a Reddiwhip type of whipped cream on top. Moreover, the waffle itself tasted grainy and like bisquick. The eggs benedict was inedible. The "hollandaise" sauce tasted like sweet custard and made us both feel sick when we ate it alongside the eggs. The potatoes that came on the side were cold. Having been to the Lodge in years previous, this was an extremely disappointing experience, and I cannot say either of us will ever return.

A lovely spot for a sunset dinner with beautiful views. The food and drinks were outstanding and our server, Meghan, was great with the perfect amount of attention and personality.

The location is prime. Seating outdoors is unique with a beautiful scenic view. The staff is friendly; however, the new online ordering system lends some confusion since you need to include items that were ordered through the wait staff. Had to ask 3 times for a juice that was ordered. Despite the hiccups, it was an enjoyable meal.

My husband and I stayed over for one night and had an amazing time. The view from chalet #1 was beautiful! The room had everything we needed and we enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Exceptional experience! Went on St Pattys day and they had wonderful music and Corn Beef & Cabbage. The service was phenomenal and the view was gorgeous. Aaron, the manger on shift, was very attentive and ensured everyone was enjoying their time. Well done Kula Lodge & Restaurant! We will certainly be back!

We went for breakfast and enjoyed a special meal of corned beef and cabbage for at Patrick's day. The service was fast and attentive, the meal was excellent. We sat in the bar area so we were next to the cozy fireplace. We were chilly and they shut the door and stoked the fire.

The food was great atmosphere was great. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, but not very good when it came to service. We were a group of eight and did not care for the mandatory 20% tip +2% kitchen fee, especially when the service was mediocre. Over all it was a nice evening.

We love Kula Lodge The ambience is wonderful. Unfortunately, the rain and mist spoiled the view, but the food and service was excellent! A shout out to Ronnie, who was our server! Mahalo and Aloha

The lodge was cool. Seemed like a wonderful place to stay. The staff is very friendly. We were seated quickly. We accepted a table near the two performers instead of asking for a window table which would have been a little quieter. We enjoyed the singer very much. Our server was very friendly and efficient. We were not all that thrilled with a limited menu, and I was in the mood for a steak so I ordered the New York strip. I should have known better. It was cooked to medium rare as requested, but this cut of meat is too chewy. Eh well. Not sure what the potato was prepared as, but it looked like a pressed bar. My wife ordered the Mahi with jumbo shrimp. I'd say we're both about done with Mahi for a while, having eaten fish nearly every day of the two weeks we've been here. It was flavorless which is typical for Mahi. Anyway, we lived the ambiance and service very much. We made the reservation in advance, hoping for a sunset view, but the weather didn't cooperate. Next time maybe.

As residents of Maui, we are so pleased the Vojdani family purchased the Kula Lodge so its legacy can continue. We visited for Lunch on March 13 and the temps were a bit cool, so the delightful hostess recommended inside dining and took us to the best table in the place, the corner glass window for two. Like a lot of places on Maui, staffing was short. Our waitress Beth was awesome and really hustled despite the volume of tables she had. My avocado toast was lovely, however there seems to be an issue in the kitchen with the smoked turkey croissant sandwich. It arrived without avocado on it , and it took a while to get Beth's attention but she quickly acquired the avocado from the kitchen, and graciously offered a discount. Shortly thereafter after checking with the Lodge's online menu, the sandwich should have come with fries, however oddly it arrived with nacho chips? Surprised Beth didn't notice this and given how long it took for the avocado correction, we opted to ignore the issue. Overall the croissant was lovely when the avocado was added. We were very patient with the cash out process and left somewhat disappointed and will give the Kula Lodge sometime before we return, but we WILL return. We chatted with friends who also ordered the croissant sandwich recently and they were advised during their visit that they were out of croissants, then the staff returned to advise they were out of turkey, and our friends requested a chicken breast replacement and they did receive fries with the sandwich. We were also disappointed to see a 2% kitchen 'fee' added to the bill. We are optimistic with time the Kula Lodge will meet the expectations of its diners and what we loved about Five Palms.

We love coming to the Kula Lodge for breakfast or lunch. The view is spectacular and the food is consistently good. We all had different entrees and they were all yummy. Burger, Fish and Chips, and Belgium waffles were all delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely keep this on our go to list!

We've been coming to Kula Lodge for years and it's not been real friendly but food has always been good. but since new owners e everything has changed for the better. Staff is very friendly and they put in family friendly/handicapped bath which is awesome. We hear the new owners are from the 5 Palms in Kihei which sadly closed and we had supported them for 30 years. Definitely will visit Kula Lodge several times when we visit the Island. Outstanding!!!

5 at our table & all of us loved our meals. 2 NY steaks, 2 Ahi Tuna, 1 Shrimp Risotto & Truffle Fries & Onion Soup , then Molten Choc Cake and Flan were all praised as well. Very sweet & pleasant servers & hostess. Great live music & views. Our waitress was Very busy trying to keep up with all her tables and the live music made the overall experience great.
