Excellent spot 🍷🍶🍷
MauiWine is jam-packed with color and life. From the rolling green hills and blue-hued ocean in the distance to the cheerily yellow and pink-emblazoned labels on the bottles, the place embodies the island spirit of its estate vineyard. It's wonderful to see how the viticulturists and enologists at this site have taken on the project of fermenting not only grapes, but also the more readily available fruits of the land.
The years that I have spent in California's wine industry have given me a great appreciation for the subtle interaction of natural factors and human skills that define the characteristics of every wine-growing area. It may be the vineyard geography, the cellar chemistry, the plant physiology--or a combination of all three--but being able to taste the still and sparkling wines produced in this beautiful location felt like an absolute privilege. Those who served us at the bar and tables clearly took pride in their connection to the land. They described being out amongst the vines at the break of dawn, the experience of watching the grapes ripen day-by-day, and qualities of the earth that are captured each year in a new vintage of wine.
Every single wine that we encountered had its own unique, distinctive taste. While we were moving from the sprightly Kula white blend to the deeply dark and mysterious Ulupalakua Malbec, the owner of the establishment appeared at our side. On hearing her description of the Hula o Maui pineapple sparkling wine, we knew it was one that could not be missed. Sure enough, this wine had us weeping tears of gold. California has no shortage of sparkling wines made in the methode champenoise style. However, one thing it will never replicate is a traditional bubbly built out of pineapple. The softness, lilt, and fruitiness held all the best of bits Upcountry in a single sip. One outcome is certain: your visit will bring unheralded, unexpected flavors to the tip of your tongue.
A beautiful spot in the high country. We were walk in's during the holiday time and still were able to be seated quickly. Loved the pineapple wine!
Maui Wine was such a nice activity to do in the country part of the island. The drive to the winery was so beautiful and the views of the island are unbelievable! You must try the pineapple wines - they are on the sweeter side but absolutely delicious. I wish there was a larger food/snack menu available but the hummus we had was tasty. A must do!!
I’ve had a passion for wine and been collecting wine for a few decades now - this is not a great winery in the sense of world class wineries. There are no vineyards to see, no tours of vineyards or cave tours. The staff working the back bar are very nice, but they aren’t sommeliers. You go here for the novelty of doing wine tasting in Upcountry Maui… which is beautiful. You are here for the beauty of the setting - and to get away from the crazy Maui traffic and crazy Maui tourist areas that have become so prevalent that Maui feels more like Honolulu every day. This place is a beautiful, calm, peaceful escape, with a glass of “OK” wine.
Delicious wine, beautiful location, and very friendly tour guides. Would definitely brave the winding road for this wine tasting. 🍷
Cute spot to break for a glass of vino 🍷- gorgeous trees and views from your table 🍷🌺🌊🏝️☀️
Fabulous service - we did two tastings to share and perfect 👌🏼
Beautiful location
Great service
Wine is great
The drive up there is long but wasn’t an issue as long as you leave with plenty of time. The winery building itself is on a few acres with large trees and a scenic overlook of the ocean and southern-western views onto Maui low lands. The wines are excellent and many are fruity and tropical as you’d expect. They have some pictures and explanations of the history of the winery and the land which is quite interesting. Overall great experience.
It is unique and in a beautiful location in upcountry! We did a pineapple wine tasting that excellent and so fun ! You can’t get it anywhere else. We are from the central coast so we know good wine and this pineapple wine was really special.

Worth the drive to the up country, we enjoyed the pineapple wines
everything was over price. stuff was ok. our experience being there more than a frustration ordering wine and causal service in the back side.
Great tour, excellent wine! Would definitely recommend making this part of your Maui experience!
