Loved the world famous Ulupalakua Ranch in Maui's Upcountry off Kula Highway. The Ranch Store is across street from the winery. Ranch Store offers beef, elk or venison burgers. Beef is their signature Maui Cattle Company brand and elk is raised and processed on ranch, venison is Axis Deer, also local harvest. They can get really super busy, so plan accordingly. Had one of the best beef burgers of my life! The jalapeño avocado burger after a day of horseback riding at Triple L ranch was to die for. I love the little store here too - cute souvenirs and t shirts. Even if you aren’t horse back riding, which I highly recommend, this part of the island is quite charming and worth the drive just to explore!
Lord. Reading those one star reviews made me wonder if perhaps those folks were on a parallel Ulupalakua Ranch Store universe. No bathroom, no problem. As I used to tell my two year old. GO BEFORE WE GO!!! My fare was simple. A hot dog(not a hot dog really but a wonderfully firm and meaty pork sausage).
