A bit noisy because of the wooden floors and active bar making blended drinks. But the service and locally sourced food is superb. There are other table locations within the restaurant that are probably quieter than the one we chose right up front at the windows.

Coming back after a long time - it was worth it. Some interesting new dishes like clams and mussels with a hint of ginger, lime and white wine butter sauce or the chocolate dessert. Service was excellent and we have loved it again. Will be back in a few days :-)

Sparkling rosé to start, rock shrimp & crab cakes for appetizer, catch of the day (Ono) encrusted in parmgan, & a chocolate desert which was like brownies pieces & chocolate pudding! Everything was EXCELLENT!

This is one of our favorite restaurants on Maui. The food, service and atmosphere is always excellent! We will drive all the way from Kaanapali to eat here. The hostess Sasha was so nice and attentive and our server was every bit as good! Highly recommended! Thank you!

Our server Tim was excellent as all the Haliimaile General Store staff are. Starting with the award-winning Tai Mai, we feasted on the Coconut Seafood Curry (again!) and the Macadamia Crusted Mahi-Mahi. The fish and vegetables are local and perfectly prepared. And the camaraderie of the host, bartender, chefs and servers is wonderful to observe in this place with its unique Maui history.

A lunch at Hali'imaile is always a treat. We love the spacious, nicely decorated atmosphere, the friendly service and the creative dishes. It's well worth the drive from west Maui where we always take our vacation.

This is not our first visit ... it is a “must see” every time we are in Maui. We have introduced all of our family to your place over the last couple of decades ... and at times I worry that I “over sell “ your restaurant so much that they might be disappointed when the food arrives.... That has NEVER ever been the case. Yesterday's visit we made sure to select three different pupus ..our top selections...and the family enjoyed and savored each one. We had enchilada pie...amazing as always... ribs....omg can't say enough about those...and Mac crusted mahi mahi. Clearly the best fish dish on the island. The service is always warm, friendly and efficient. I don't think we've ever tipped less than 30 percent and they all deserve even more than that. We won't be back until next February ...and I'm already counting the weeks to eat lunch or dinner at your phenomenal restaurant.

Dale is an outstanding server–professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Mahi-mahi sandwich and fish and chips are delicious, nicely plated and good sized. The ambience and overall experience are worth the drive up-country.

Food was really good and it was a quiet night. I brought my really good friend and neighbor, I wanted to treat her for dinner. I choose the right place. Everything was great! the hostess was very welcoming. Matt was our server and he knows the menu. The fish and the short ribs were done to perfection. His knowledge was unstoppable. Great Guy and a true asset to this restaurant. I'm bringing my daughter back for sure.

This was our fifth time enjoying great food, delicious cocktails and a terrific staff. The hit at our table was the enchilada pie with a close second in the pork sandwich. The potato leek soup was also wonderful. We closed lunch with the outstanding pineapple upside down cake. We will definitely be back anytime we're in Maui! Aloha

We had lunch here. Great food (fish and chips for me, Caesar salad for her). Heather was our server; she's native born Hawaiian and shared many interesting anecdotes with us about how to properly speak Hawaiian! We've been here many times and have never been disappointed with the food or the service. We wholeheartedly recommend visiting this restaurant. Nice distillery (theirs) and glass bowling businesses across the street.

From being seated through dessert, this is a quality eating establishment. We had the Turkey Cobb salad with buttermilk ranch dressing. Turkey was fresh, greens fresh, heritage grape sized tomatoes, real bacon, fresh avocado and a unique yummy home cooked bread. Booked another visit this weekend to the pineapple family tour.
