For over 100 years Komoda Store and the Komoda family has been serving the people of Makawao. Now, tourists also visit the town landmark to try cream puffs, cocoa puffs, stick doughnuts, butter rolls, and other unique versions of familiar bakery items. It's my go-to place to grab goodies before leaving the island on trips.

The bakery just celebrated over 100 years. Delicious pastry. A must stop for sugar fix.
Parking: No matter what time of a day, parking is always a bit of a challenge.

This store has been in the same family for four generations. Down to earth good donuts, simple.
Parking: Maybe difficult during high season.

Everyone talks about the malasadas here and they are awesome, but the cream puff was one of the best I've ever eaten.

We stopped by here before making our way to Haleakala. The donuts were wonderful. Plenty of locals and tourists enjoying the deliciousness! I would definitely recommend stopping by while visiting Maui.

Cinnamon roll was delicious.
What an interesting place. We visited 3 years ago for the first time and came back again this time. The baked goodies are very fresh. Donuts were not overly sweet - just perfect, great texture too. The store itself has a few random grocery-type items, but the back wall is particularly interesting with its stockpile of interesting items (like telephones) from bygone eras. This spot will be a staple for us now on

I love this bakery! I highly recommend guava malasadas, Chantilly cake, cream puffs, and donuts on a stick, to name a few.
