We had a fantastic time at Makawao Public House! The servers were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely excellent— I had the smash burger, which was juicy and packed with flavor. My husband ordered the steak and said it was the best he's had on Maui. We'll definitely be going back!

Did not like anything on my plate. I ordered the nighty fish special which was mahi mahi. The fish was so overdone and tough it was hard to eat. The carrots and the zucchini were underdone and also tough to cut. The Molokai sweet potatoes were very dry and unappealing. Just such a disappointment. My husband liked his burger and truffle mac. If I were to go back , I would stick to a meat dish.

Great locals place! The band that was playing was local, loud and great. It appeared as if there was a birthday celebration going on. It added to the local charm of the Public House. All our servers were fantastic and engaged with you as if you were good friends. There were five of us and we all agreed that the food was fantastic and cooked to perfection. I am vegan and they had a fantastic vegan curry dish. The other four had the Japanese Flat Iron Steak which they all raved about.

A fight broke out at the bar. The bartender literally kicked a drunk patron in the cheat and he flew out the front door, onto Baldwin Avenue. My 10 year old thought it was “cool.” Great, just great.

Celebrated my partner's 67th birthday at Makawao Public House. Everything from the drinks, pupu's, main course & desert was excellent. They even comp his desert. Highly recommend. The steak was so tender and cooked to perfection!

Went 5:30. know what we wanted, ordered right away. Seems like our food magically appeared! Think they appreciated the quick in -out as we don't drink, and we loved the super fast service. mochico ahi and kanaka stew with mashed were very good. On the way out we noticed the noise level had gone up from 2 to 7.

Staff is friendly and attentive. Cesar salad was well portioned and lots of dressing and croutons, very delicious. Steak biteswas not warm but cooked as ordered. Warm to hot would've been better. The fish sandwich was well portioned and delicious.

Been in a few times before but I have to say the hostess Brooklyn was sweet as can be! Our server Ahni was awesome as well. Food took awhile but since we had a salad & some appetizers, it blended perfectly. Everything was delicious & It was a perfect last minute dinner.

Took my wife and two kids seating in the back room was perfect. Food everything was great the Pupu steak, chicken wings, Hamachi ceviche great starters wife and daughter ate the shrimp scampi pasta and Cesar salad perfectly paired. Sauce on the scampi was delicious. Ribeye for me with the sweet potatoes mash amazing. Our other daughter had the Birria Noodles she loved it.
