For a real look at the real people of Maui. The bathrooms are now unlocked. Parking stalls are skinny as heck. Pukalani is windy and it will drive your car door into the adjacent vehicle. Hole in heaven is the translation of Pukalani!
Pukalani Terrance Center is one of the last big shopping areas on your way up to Haleakala National Park, to the Haleakala Summit to watch the sunset. My husband and I stopped by this outdoor shopping center to pick up some food to eat while we watch the sunset. In this plaza, there is a Foodland Market (which seems to be the one and only place that sells spam musubi with the rice seasoned with furikaka. The other Foodland locations that I have visited on this island did not have...
Use to love.coming here for the salt and vinegar chicken wings, but they changed them. Too much batter and not enough vinegar. I don't remeber them having any batter before. I thought they were naked wings and they were awesome.
