Fixed menu but all the options looked great! We ended up going with the Ribeye and Mahi. Both were absolutely incredible. The space is beautiful. Great service as well. Would def go back

Simply delicious. I love the compact menu. Great vegan options that are delicious for meat eaters too. Chocolate mousse is heavenly (you'll never guess the main ingredient!) highly recommended for a tasty meal in a serene setting.

As a local it's always nice to have an opportunity to take my out of town guest for an unexpected dining experience on Maui. It's sometimes not just about beaches, but serenity, calmness, quiet and good conversations over consistently great food.

Set in beautiful “Old Hawaii” sitting on the porch, listening to the wind, looking at the gorgeous foliage and beautiful skies, we enjoyed a delicious 3-course prix fix meal. If you want a quiet, unique food experience, this is the place.

I really wanted to love this experience. I went with my significant other to celebrate my birthday, expecting uber fresh ingredients and beautiful vegetarian options highlighting the bounties that Maui has to offer. The menu changes often, based upon what's available. Maybe we went on an "off" night but the menu we choose from felt pretty dated and certainly nothing particularly special. For instance, our starter options were Ceasar Salad and Tomato Soup. We chose one of each. The salad was fine. Not great, certainly nothing special. The soup was oddly sweet and luke warm. It sort of went on from there. The table decor was a typical small glass vase with dried Statice flowers. Really? Common dried flowers when that side of the island is literally chock full of lush green options? I have to also mention that the restroom was absolutely filthy. Surfaces were grimy, stained and just gross. It's not that hard to deep clean a small bathroom space. The lack of effort here played out throughout the rest of the experience. Was the food terrible? No. Was it great? absolutely not.

The Wooden Crate is set in a beautiful and lush upcountry venue that truly embraces Maui's natural charm. The surroundings are serene and make for a peaceful escape, but while the ambiance is stunning, the food itself was just okay. The dishes were good, but nothing really stood out or left a lasting impression. It's the kind of place where the experience is more about the setting than the cuisine. That said, it's still a great place to visit, especially if you're looking for a relaxing atmosphere and a change of pace from the busier parts of the island. While the food might not steal the show, the venue makes it worth the trip.

This time every thing was wonderful as always, except the meat and MahiMahi were both the vegetables however were better than ever and super tasty! May be a new ( vegetarian) chef ?

Out of the ordinary and a wonderful calm atmosphere for fine dining. A place you can count on for great creative menu and has something for everybody. Our biggest complaint is that it's across island otherwise we would be there more often.

While Lumeria is a beautiful quaint quiet property, the price fix dinner at wooden crate was very disappointing and overpriced. My rib eye was thin, flavorless and served with mediocre fries. Grilled asparagus were average at best and not served hot.My guest was also disappointed. Dinner for two with dessert and one glass of wine each: $150!! Highlight of the evening was relaxing in beautiful lobby and walking grounds.Hope they make needed changes and ideally set up expensive dining in lobby quarters vs outside on porch deck. You can BE better!

This used to be a great place to have dinner. One did not know what would be offered for dinner until the Chef had completed his shopping! The meal would be worth the markup for the great location! Now they have a set menu and various choices, prices are still high but food is mediocre at best!!I do not recommend this place for dinner, go to the “Fish Market” in Paia and get a large helping of the freshest fish for less $$, however, you will stand in line to order and seating is on benches.P.S.: I had invited a business man and had praised this restaurant. He left half his dinner on the plate. I was embarrassed. Also want to mention that the menu does not state pricing for the meals, left $150 plus tip for two meals and two glasses of wine- not to mention that I am “Kama’aina” (local) and had a 10% discount! Enjoy the beautiful grounds but stay away from this diner (!) is all I can say!!

The food was very good. The service was average. The price Overpriced! We live in Maui and started gong there a few years ago and the price with tax was about $120 total but for two now $175. Unfortunately they will loose our business since their prices are now comparable to Mama's Fish House which we have never been to because of the price. That's too bad because we really enjoyed going there : (

Very disappointed by the cuisine here. We could not finish any dish (too sweet for the tomato soup, too salty and oily for the fish and too dense and sweet for the chocolate dessert). Worst meal in a long time. Too bad.

Our stay was unbelievable and I wish we could've stayed longer! The property is stunning, so tranquil and tasteful in the landscaping, features, etc. Rooms are gorgeous and the bed is so cozy! Every staff member is sooo kind and welcoming. Highly recommend Lumeria!!

We made same-day reservations on Open Table, which were accepted and confirmed. After a 40-minute drive, we arrived to find there was no one at the restaurant. We called the front desk of the resort and the person there informed us apologetically that the restaurant had decided to close for the evening due to lack of reservations. I received my seated confirmation from Open Table two days later.
