I am a creature of habit. Each time I am in the area, I always try to go back to what I know is good. I was talked into going to this joint and I was severely disappointed with all aspects of Tanaka Ramen. The service was absolutely horrendous. Both servers that were working should not be working in a restaurant. The servers did not know anything about the menu and when i asked for a vodka 7, and you get asked what is in a vodka 7, you know the dinner is not going to go well. The standard broth for ramen was really bland compared to what I am used to in the islands. We sat at the table with 8 people but all came at different times. I get my bill and there is 18% service charge already added to the bill. Server never told us about a standard 18% service charge. The server stated that they would only split check once. I would never have even paid 10% for the service we received. Then to add to this, they sat a couple of random people down next to us at the same table? NOPE! Never again.

Blunt and upfront, don’t do it. The food was flavorless and overly greasy. The service was non existent.

The food in this restaurant is delicious, but they brought me water in a dirty glass.

Casual vibe, very delicious ramen. Expect about 20$ per person. I had the chicken ramen with an black garlic oil, extra egg, and level 2 spicy. I finished every drop of that bowl.

Service was alright. Even on a slow day it took a few minutes to get my order in. Food came out fast and hot tho. The gyoza had an interesting flavor to it. Ramen was okay. Flavor didn’t stick to the noodles and broth wasn’t as spicy as I hoped. All in all, pretty underwhelming experience for the price you pay.

Ever since we returned from Japan, we've been craving authentic Japanese ramen, but for one reason or another, we never had the chance to visit a ramen shop while we were there. So here we are, satisfying our cravings through Tanaka Ramen. From the great classic broth taste to the perfectly cooked noodles and tender chashu, every bowl feels like a taste of Japan. And to make the experience even better, their ika geso karaage is incredibly tasty—crispy, flavorful, and the perfect side to complete our meal.

Pretty pricey but very yummy! I spend about an average of 30 to 35 dollars here for two appetizers and a bowl of ramen.
I get the takoyaki, the gyoza, and the Tanaka classic ramen. I'm a decently big eater and this never fails to fill me up to the brim!
The servers are very kind and very helpful, they get your food quick if there's not many people.
Which sounds funny because some places take forever when there's barely anyone so it is nice to get quick service with good food.
You can also get military discounts too.
Just remember to bring you military CAC / ID
I'm pretty sure it's a ten percent discount if I remember correctly.
Happy Tanaka eating. Enjoy this place and maybe it might have you coming back....it has me coming back, heheh..

Absolutely fantastic food. The classic tanaka ramen was top notch, and the fried calimari was delicious. The team was very ready to help us as soon as we walked in, and when we were ready to order, and even when we were ready to head out. Price was just over $40 for two, with an appetizer and no drinks.
