Still dream about going back to this place years later. Some of the best food I've had in my entire life!

I stop here whenever I go to Black Sands. I get my shrimp bowl. I'm bringing my own container from now on, lol. I get my volcano shrimp and the sauce does eventually seep through the to go container but, I do not think it's the trucks problem. I keep it hot in a bag for 2 more hours. I want every ounce of that sauce! It's Onolicious!

I’m very picky eater but Food was really good for that little truck. definitely worth to try the Shrimp sampler plate and acai bowl. I can’t speak of steak and pork 😅

Glad they offered the combo (Poke and Hawaii dish), the meat is melt in your mouth and the poke is fresh.

Maybe the best meal we had on The big island! My husband and I had shrimp, volcano and mixed both were delicious they came with a salad and white rice. Both boys had hamburger's which were maybe some of the best we had ever had. It is a food truck so not much atmosphere when you are eating at a picnic table but none of us left unhappy.

I went there twice and it was still delicious.

There aren't many restaurants around South Point → Volcano, so we had lunch here both times and then bought malasadas at the Punaluu Bake Shop right across the street.

I always choose one that has three flavors: lemon, spice, and garlic, but the garlic one is by far the best!

I thought I only added shrimp, but they changed it to shrimp bowl lol, but this was a great deal!
Four shrimp and one scoop of rice cost about $7.

Good food, INCREDIBLE smoothie. We ordered the lava shrimp and the NY steak. Both were good. The shrimp were very fresh but the seasoning/sauce was not my favorite. But the spice level was just about perfect at about a 5-6 out of 10.The meat was a true medium rare. The salads were rather wilted but not the end of the world. The tropical smoothie was absolutely to die for. The girl taking our order was super helpful and gave great descriptions of the dishes. A good, quick stop if you’re in the area!

The lemon pepper shrimp sauce was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection with great seasoning. The tropical smoothie was so good we got a second on our way out. Great, kind service and beautiful picnic tables

My god the shrimp was so good. My husband and I both got the shrimp sampler. Cooked absolutely perfectly. Was done extremely quickly and they had a nice outdoor area to sit. Definitely give this place a shot if you’re on your way to the volcano.

This place was great. We had a cheeseburger, a garlic shrimp plate, and a steak plate. Everything was delicious, and we devoured it. Plenty of outdoor seating (8 granite topped picnic tables) and a couple rain/sun canopies.

Parking: Lots of parking at the public park, right next door.

Kid-friendliness: Multiple options that our kids would eat.
