This was a great place to stop and visit. Wonderful free samples, animals, and friendly staff!
Enjoyed our stopover from South Point a couple of weeks ago.
Great little place to stop and get one of their smoothies, nice selection of coffees and macadamia nuts as well as short bread cookies. Also some trinkets you can look at.
Take a look at some of the art from a local artist.
Not to far off the main road to the Volcano.
I am giving this place the rating I am because of the way it treats its birds. Their cages are small and look awful. These animals are highly intelligent and should not be kept this way. One of them is an African gray. One of the most intelligent animals on earth and it is in a cage, by itself all day.
So amazing 😍
Visited a few times. Super friendly people and delicious mac nut. If you drive nearby dont miss it!!!
Amazing macadamia nuts and chocolate. The staff walked us through all the options, letting us taste everything we wanted. There is also a great little taco vendor and art studio on site.
Stop in for art, stuff, fresh local honey, and fun conversation.
Wonderful little stop along the south end of the island. Megan was very welcoming and gave us lots of samples, and the grounds and animals were really cool.
Extremely kind and patient people. Their customer service was incredible. Immediately upon coming to their front porch, they greeted us with a map, pointed out the restrooms, and offered us free samples of their coffee. We ended up purchasing their mango and pineapple drinks after a long hike to the green sand beach, and they were a perfect refresher after a hot day.

Paradise Meadows at Hawaii’s Local Buzz is hands down my favorite place on the Big Island—and honestly, one of my favorite places in the world.
This has been my go-to spot since COVID, and every single time I visit, I feel like I’m coming home. It’s not just a place to shop—it’s a whole experience filled with love, warmth, and aloha.
The owners—Lili, Megan, and Scott—are truly amazing people who have poured so much heart and soul into this place. And Megan isn’t just an owner—she’s also a phenomenal artist. They have a full art gallery on-site showcasing her incredible work. Her paintings capture the spirit and magic of Hawai’i so beautifully—it’s like stepping into a dream. You can purchase originals, prints of all sizes, postcards, greeting cards, and more. I’m obsessed. Every piece tells a story, and you can just feel the love and inspiration behind her art.
And of course, I have to give a special shoutout to the fabulous ladies who make the experience even more magical every time I come: Julie, Shannon, Racine, and Brenda. These amazing women always greet me with the warmest smiles and energy, making every visit unforgettable. They feel like family now.
Let’s talk about the treats.
The macadamia nuts? Literally the best I’ve ever had—perfectly crunchy and packed with flavor. The handcrafted chocolates are rich and divine, the honey is liquid gold, and the shortbread melts in your mouth like a dream. Everything is made with so much care and aloha—you can taste it in every bite.
And the magic doesn’t stop at the store.
They offer a self-guided walking tour around the property where you can connect with nature and all their sweet animals. You’ll meet the chill Muscovy ducks, adorable Penny the pig, visit the rescue birds, explore a fragrant herb garden, and walk through their lush fruit and veggie gardens. Everything is grown right there, picked fresh daily, and often available for purchase. It’s like stepping into a peaceful, edible paradise.
And for anyone off-island—they offer FREE shipping anywhere in the U.S. when you spend over $100. Which is honestly easy, because once you try their goodies, you’ll want to stock up. I always bring things home for friends and family (and myself!).
This place has it all—art, nature, community, and flavor. It’s not just a stop; it’s a feeling. You leave full—in your belly and your heart.
Mahalo to the entire team at Paradise Meadows for always welcoming me like family. I can’t wait to come back again and again. If you’re on the Big Island, this is a must-visit.
Amazing atmosphere. Friendly and helpful. Choices are exceptional
Truly amazing place to relax, get delicious coffee and chocolate, and explore around the farm and animals. Really a wonderful end to our day 😁
