Amazing spot!!!
Super loud. Waitress was rude. No parking. No sign on building identifying business.

The food was amazing, the server was on point with her customer service. The three in atmosphere one of the things I notice quickly was how much food waste (scraps) was on the dining room floor. When I watched the server clean the table as soon as a customer left all the food was wiped right off the table to the floor and no one to sweep it. Almost made me second guess if it was safe to eat their if their kitchen etiquette followed suit.

Aloha, the food is the best! The service and bartending is incredible as well. Happy atmosphere and fun to hang out and enjoy a fantastic authentic Mexican restaurant! They have homemade hot sauce upon asking and it's so hot ? ? and flavorful for the daring! THE BEST! Thanks guys!

It’s a family owned restaurant that has been in the area for a long time. Originally it was located down the road in the old part of town, but the building burned. The food is great. Excellent service. This is the place where the locals go to eat. Family is from Jalisco and really knows their food. My family used to own a large operation with two Mexican food restaurants on the property, for over 20 years. I was involved in the day-to-day operation. This food is excellent. If you’re in the area, you must give it a try!

2024 update: I gave luquins another chance...
The prices are nearly double for a smaller portion,the food isn't as local as it used to be. Sal is gone and now its just a hollow shell of its former self. After 30 years! I'm done with luquins. For the first time staff will forget items in your to go order (read a list and put it in the bag) how hard could it be? You lost another life long customer to Ponchos Tacos. ?
Don't go to the new restaurant, they do not have anything in order. Food quality has gone down,customer service is non existent, they do not answer phones.

The food is first rate, as is the service. Despite often being busy, service and food never disappoint. The specials are a good thing to keep an eye out for, because they make for delicious alternatives.

Had the pick two. Steak enchilada and chile relleno great!! Margarita did not hold back on the tequila, it seemed like a double, glad I wasn’t driving. Ample portions for a reasonable price, especially here on the Island.
Will definitely eat here often
