Don’t judge a book by its cover. The food we got here was great. The conversation was fun. I’d recommend calling ahead and taking out.

Hours aren’t correct, went there and they were closed at noon
You know when you feel like you walked into your Tío's house that you're getting some good tacos man. Ren is very personable and very fun to talk to about ancient mayans. The tacos were amazing it's one giant taco and while the price scared me at first it was well worth it. Tamales which brought me in are also really good and they got corn in them which I've always loved for the texture and sweetness they bring to them. Be sure to ask Uncle about his homemade hot sauce cause it's pretty freaking great. If the door is locked give him a minute, he could be in the restroom or doing something else.

Far from authentic. If you’re looking for real mexican food this isn’t it. The steak tasted like bbq sauce and the chicken seemed boiled or canned..

Although the tacos were good they were very expensive in my opinion, $9.00 for 1 taco and nothing else is a bit steap.
Chips were cheap store bought and you paid extra for them as well.

Don’t think. Just stop here.
Really typical place along the road. If you stop, it is gonna be for the unique friendly Chef and great mexican cuisine. Do not hesitate before the look of the place, you won’t regret it, 100%.
Burritos are a treat, and big as well. Banana bread is amazing.
Thank you for everything Chef

Owner is the cook and is friendly and quick for being a one man crew, but even though it’s fairly quick, the food still tastes amazing

This restaurant was recommended to me so I had to try it out. The owner called himself a one man band because he had no staff to help. The signage is poor as the only indicator that a restaurant was there was a banner for tamales. I have driven past it many times but never noticed that a restaurant was there.
I arrived around four in the afternoon and one couple was eating outside. So I walked in and was taken aback because of the haphazard decorations and as I looked around for a seat, there were multiple tables with chairs all covered with supplies. Honestly, the messy facilities bothers me. Reynaldo, the owner, was talkative and helped pass the time as I waited for my food.
I asked what he would recommend for a vegetarian and the owner suggested a cheese enchilada plate. I was amazed as he prepared the dish in front of me from scratch. He made it to go. The dish was tasty but nothing to brag about. Will I return, maybe, if I see there is another vegetarian option, but I will not repeat my order. A non-vegetarian has many more options and will probably enjoy the food more. The tamal is supposed to be very good but it is made with lard so I can't try it.
Because of the lack of seating and tables stacked with supplies, this is not a place I would bring the typical child.
Dietary restrictions: Since he makes food to-order, he can work around certain preferences and restrictions. It depends on how busy he is.

Restaurantji Recommends
The food here was great. The man running this one man show was outstanding, quick, and kind. I think had I not had the fear of food poisoning due to the hot sauce on the table having mold and there being a gecko that just went behind his mirror and didn't leave, I would've enjoyed it more. The place was amazing, there were just a few details that felt a little sketch. 5/5 food, 5/5 service I just doubt the health department would approve the same way I did.
