Amazing food, reasonable portions and I loved the open air seating. I wish they had more vegetarian options

Ten out of ten would recommend food was major, service was great and if I had money I go today and eat! For sure will be back! I really did love the atmosphere it's a nice vibe and the food presentation was great the calamari is so good! Wish I had pictures but I had to rep this place we have dined in once and we have ordered out before! Mahalo Nui loa for the great experience!

I was staying in Pahoa for two weeks and this place was recommended as a local hangout with live music. I went my first night and ordered a large salad, nothing special. I mainly went because the passion fruit cheesecake with Oreo crust sounded delicious. Come to find out they're out that night, but fine, I'd just go back another day. I show up Friday and ask the hostess if I can get a slice to go. Some kid comes over, "We don't offer the cheesecake to go." "OK ... and if I sit at a table and then ask for a box?" I'm half kidding, in a "what's the difference" kind of way (because there isn't one). He explains they have live music that night and don't want to run out. I'm a PAYING customer and I got there first, literally what difference does it make? So I say fine, I'll stay for a drink and just eat dessert at a table, since that's the only way you're allowed to eat their food. "You can sit at the bar" aka you can drink but not eat. The interaction was bizarre and, quite frankly, rude, so I just left. Clearly the place only wants to cater to locals and has no qualms about showing visitors the door (also evident in other low-star reviews). Also, how about maybe learning to keep up with supply and demand for a popular product so you're not cherry-picking who gets to eat it? Weird experience. I'd recommend somewhere friendlier. So much for that aloha spirit.

Fantastic food in a breezy, airy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The service was great and the food was delicious, this restaurant was one of my highlights visiting the Big Island. I absolutely loved the spinach springrolls and kalua pork wontons - but everything we tried was fantastic!! Thank you Kaleo's Bar and Grill for showing me a taste of the island!

Stays open later then most places on this side of the island for dinner. Laid back vibes. Great food. And a lot to choose from. Eat with the locals and enjoy the evening. The service here is great. Everyone has been super nice and helpful

Excellent Korean Short Ribs. Order the you can not go wrong. Big enough to share. Nice remodel. Nice restaurant. Well run. Clean. Good decorations and paintings. All the locals like the restaurant. Moderate prices on the menu. Kid friendly.

The food was really good. My s/o and I quite enjoyed the wontons and would've easily just ordered a few rounds of those and been satisfied but the burgers / sandwiches were also delicious. Neither of us like blue cheese but we wanted to try something new and it was well worth it. The service was also quite nice. A bit pricy but it's reasonable and it's still a cute little place to have dinner. My s/o also ordered a flight of beer to try the flavors out and it was a hit for him.

LOVE the food here, the mushroom chicken pasta was amazing and the fish and chips were so good! Normally when I order fish and chips at places it's dry but NOT HERE, it was so fresh and juicy (the way it should be). The lilikoi cheesecake is to die for!! It's homemade and is the perfect dessert to finish and amazing meal! The Brownie Sunday was also a favorite for us (brownies are always my basic go to, but they just make it so good!) the servers are a delight and truly bring such a warm tone to the atmosphere. The live music was so fun but definitely very loud especially when sitting at a table closer to the musicians (we couldn't even talk to each other because we had to scream across the table). That's the only downside, music was a yes, but the volume couldn't been brought down a few notches.
