By far the best spot we have had breakfast at while we have been here. The food is amazing, vibe is like no other, and people are lovely! Not the spot if you’re looking for a quick in and out.
If you are lucky enough to make it to Pahoa, you have to make a stop to Pele’s kitchen! Food and service were both incredible, but the experience is beyond anything. You truly get to feel like one of the locals and like a part of the Pahoa family. The owner, Casey, took time out of his jam packed morning to make a point to welcome us and spend time telling us about the history of the area and even gave us fresh picked fruit from a local farm. Pele's Kitchen is my go-to for brunch whenever I'm in Pahoa. I'm completely obsessed with their mango coconut blintzes! Fair warning though, they sell out often, so get there early if you want them. I learned that the hard way on my last visit.
Luckily, everything here is delicious. I ended up getting the mountain apple french toast and a platter of bacon instead, and it was fantastic. The coffee is excellent too, which is a must for any good...
