My husband and I recently moved closer to this establishment. We ordered ribs and chicken. The ribs were huge and very meaty. They were also very tasty. They weren't overcooked or dry. I'm not much of a meat eater, but I loved them. My husband swears by them now. The atmosphere, employees and the food make our experiences happy and content. Their choice of beer on tap is amazing. I highly recommend this establishment! Great addition to Wahiawa!

We stopped here on a whim and it was so delicious and not over priced. This is the juiciest bbq chicken i've had in my whole life and i'm from the south and have a lot of experience with bbq. The service was quick and we got the food within 10 minutes. 10/10 would recommend!

I've always passed by and finally decided to check it out with a friend. We shared the chicken for 2 plate and THE CHICKEN WAS DELICIOUS! Super tender and with the free dipping sauces it's Ono! And it was a lot of food for two people.Parking: There's street parking right in front.
Cool little spot in the middle of the island. Loaded fries with pulled pork was delicious! Smoked chicken and pork ribs also delicious! Girls working the counter very friendly so service was great!

The perfect stop-in spot right off the highway between North Shore and Honolulu! We stopped in for dinner on our drive home - they weren't busy at all, and we ordered quickly. Service was friendly! We sat on one of the many patios and enjoyed the food that came out shortly after. Everything was delicious! Plenty of parking out back. Super laid-back environment.

Decided to try out Chicken In A Barrel kiosk tent set up on Schofield. Selected the mix plate which left me a bit disappointed. Although I received a generous portion of chicken, the pork serving was barely 2 ounces. I thought they forgot until I looked under the chicken. The Mac salad was a complete disappointment, yellow, tacky in texture and flavorless, not like Hawaiian Mac we are used to. The bbq sauce was decent and think it would pair well with ribs or beef. Unfortunately all they had to offer at the kiosk was chicken and pulled pork. Also feel like they tip shame people as well. Would give them another chance if I have the opportunity to try their ribs or beef.

Chicken in a Barrel is a real hidden gem in Wahiawa that I was so grateful to learn about. This restaurant is right off of Kamehameha hwy so it's the perfect spot on the way to or back from the north shore. To start, the atmosphere was incredible with a beach theme inviting enough to hang around for hours. We came during the afternoon and the place was pretty full, but there is plenty of seating and the service is quick. Definitely want to come back at night though for the live music on the weekends. We ordered the loaded fries to start and it was seriously fire. The pulled pork and cilantro crema was a new combo to me, but worked perfectly. We also got the sampler plate with extra ribs and everything was so flavorful and moist. The restaurant has bbq sauce you can serve yourself but the flavor of the meat was so good we barely used it. For dessert we got the honey grilled cornbread that was so light and almost like a cornbread cake. Will DEFINITELY be headed back here!! BTW - the chicken is ACTUALLY cooked in a barrel and sooo moist!!

This place is amazing! First off the chicken was soo delicious, perfectly seasoned and moist. Second, the people that work there have to be the nicest people I have ever met, in my life. The vibes are so chill and they have live music on Saturdays and Sundays. Highly recommend getting the mix plate so that you can try the chicken and the pork, and definitely get to get the hot bbq sauce for dipping. Cant wait to try the pizza next.
