The Best! Meat Chun!
Old school Wahiawa Korean restaurant thats been around seemingly forever thats known for their meat jun. The original owners arent there anymore so maybe thats why the taste is a bit different nowdays. Still good but not like I remember. Service is typical of Korean restaurants.... Gotta flag them down if you want something.
Post covid hours have changed so they close very early now. Been just ordering to go, and as a common rule wherever i go I check my order before I leave🤙A generous 4 stars.
I love old-school 'hole-in-the-wall' places. But this was the most disgusting food I've ever been served.
The Fish Jun was literally inedible — just some cheap grisly trimming of tilapia. One side was overcooked and the other side was completely raw (how?) and the coating was just bland mush. I had to just throw most of it away.
The Meat Jun was slightly better. The meat was at least cooked and tender, but it too was so bland. The only real flavour was old fry oil with a hint of rice vinegar and soy sauce.
The banchan was soupy and unremarkable. The rice was nice.
Clearly this restaurant is cashing-in on nostalgia and a reputation from long ago. It's just the cheapest ingredients thrown together without any care or attention — making the price paid ($18 for a plate) that much more outrageous.
There are so many passionate chefs making incredible food on Oahu. Please save your save your time, money, and stomach and go anywhere else.
I had the spicy pork, and I was absolutely amazing. My coworkers told me they had great food here as well, so seems to be consistent. Could have used more kimchi on the side; bit what i had was great. Will be back, no doubt.
Place looks sketchy but the food is decent. Large portions for the price you pay.

We thought we would try this place after reading reviews. The place is a real hole in the wall but the food was delicious! We wanted to try the meat jun so ordered the combination and the squid jun - both really onolicious and so much food that it fed 6 of us - 2 teens, 2 middle aged and 2 seniors with leftovers enough for a meal for 2!

Read the review online and decided to try it. First of all the price wasn’t as stated by one review. About $4 more and massive amounts, far from it. Kim chee 7 gives more. Taste was good tho. Wouldn’t go out if my way to buy it again.

The variety of fried rice is similar to what I made at home^^
The beef pancake and ribs were a bit salty, but considering it was a foreign country, they were good.
I also added kimchi stew and it was delicious.

Ok so we order 2 kalbi plates and they gave us something else. Called to see if we could get the kalbi plates ordered and wanted to charge us again when it was their mistake. Fopd was ok but not what we ordered. Picture is what they gave us. Does it look like kalbi to you?
