Suggestion:
I would much rather prefer to have the ube sauce on the side. I did not know it'll come all as one onto the plate. I ordered an Aria plate, and my ube was mixed in with my eggs. I couldn't finish it all. The ube sauce was also watery.
In addition, I ordered the prime rib with eggs. My steak was medium rare, even though I requested well done. My toast was stale. Also, it was not toasted. It was a piece of bread.
The atmosphere was good and the staff were excellent. Maybe in the future, I can try it again!

Stopped by here during our trip to north shore for ube pancake and toast. This is the second location we’ve dined at so far. The food came out much faster than we anticipated. Guieb continues to be my favorite location for ube pancakes!

Didn't want to go cause I thought the name was strange, but the food, good God was delicious. Sooo good was the breakfast at Aina, that we had to try the lunch at Wahiawa, and glad we did. Young Manager Ashley was awesome and the service and suggestions were top notch. Definitely must try!

The worst beef stew you will ever eat. I got one potato that was hard as a brick. Our server was the manager. I told her the potato was inedible. The meat was extremely fatty and had a rancid flavor. She got an attitude when I brought up my concerns. She didn't offer anything else and told me I still had to pay a reduced price for the meal.nobig deal she just didn't get a tip. this place used to be great but it is disgusting now.

The beef stew is absolutely disgusting. I got one potato in the beef stew and it was a very large rock hard potato that was undercooked in the middle. there was very little sauce. the meat was fattier than most beef stews and just had a very rancid flavor. our server was the manager. I told her the potato was undercooked and the meat had a very strange flavor. she got a terrible attitude with me and told me she would take it back but that I would still have to pay for it. no big deal. she just did not get a tip from our family. It was her attitude that made the experience much worse than it should have been.
Got da local omlette, the hostess was nice at the counter but the food runner was rude and didn't know what food was what. The omlette was also unseasoned and lacking. Also not enough butter for the toast.
Attentive staff! Local, welcoming atmosphere. Lacks parking, prepare to walk.

The Angry Bird dish is EVIL GENIUS-LEVEL. Kimchi and a creamy gochujang sauce with garlicky fried chicken and perfectly crispy skin. If you like crispy chicken skin, this is your happy place. Get the gochujang sauce on the side so you (or your kids) can enjoy bites of the garlicky, crunchy chicken on its own before making the chicken even better with a flavorful hit of spice. You get 3 huge chicken thighs and will want a 4th one, trust me.
Surprising protein options. New York strip steak is a decent choice--juicy and very pretty. The prime rib was tasty but could've been much more tender. The mashed potatoes with gravy were comforting, and the side salad was fresh and well-dressed.
Unique to this small local chain (also in Kalihi and Aiea) is the ability to upgrade your sides to some special choices. Where else can you upgrade a basic side of white rice to ADOBO fried rice, garlic fried rice, or IMITATION CRAB SALAD? Fair warning that the imitation crab salad will come with a sprinkling of furikake, so ask for it without if you're not a fan of the seasoning.
Also unique is that a small, perfect dendrobium orchid might be a surprise bonus garnish on your plate. You could bring 50 friends (or order 50 plates) and make a lei--call it "The Aloha Bonus." 😍🌺
Don't let the slightly scary sidewalk right outside deter you (inside is different). Very open seating, nothing fancy. Well-spaced tables in a casual, family-friendly restaurant. Clean floors when we went. Food and plates were sanitary and temp correct.
Room enough to bring your stroller inside or a wheelchair. Today, two screens were showing sports and some family-friendly music videos.
Bathroom on site.
Free, if sometimes crowded, on-street parking in front of the shop. Make sure you're coming down California Avenue towards Kam Highway to park easily and drive away easily.
Tap to pay accepted. Credit cards accepted.
Call-ahead and take-out are available.
Ask for military and senior citizen discounts; ID required.
Very sweet customer service, young local people working hard.
Prices are very reasonable. You'd easily pay double if you were in Waikīkī Beach or closer to town. Deal!

Still good just like the other locations. Prime rib, ox tail soup, ube toast, and ube pancakes are my personal favorite. Only complaint was it’s take out only at 2:30 when they close at 3, which is understandable.
Parking: Limited parking.
Kid-friendliness: Kids love the pancakes!
