We lucked out when we went on 12/20/22, they only open until they sell out of stuff, go early in the morning before lunchtime. Sometimes they sell out before they are "closed" so we missed it the last time we were in the area. The chicken tastes like huli huli style, and the guava cream sauce is so good! Chicken was moist and juicy, sauce was just right. My son said it's the best chicken he's had in a long time! My daughter never got any because we ate it all before we even got home.

Closed forever. Dont pick up calls. Restaurant is emptied out. Big waste of time. We tried calling 10 times over 3 days.

Miss these guys. Ate planny when they was schofield cuz I worked at the clinic. Gained planny weight haha. The chicken is one of the best Hawaii bbq there is. Only thing no order the rice haha was like one rice cake and mushy haha. Food is hamma.

I got there at 12:20pm knocked on the door because it was locked even called 5 times no answer. It says y'all close at 1pm on Friday which is today and the door is locked and I can hear people in there. Would've been nice if someone would've answered the phone or door to at least say y'all closed early. Wanted to try it now I don't.

Stopped for take out on our way to Dole. We got the guava chicken and rib plate. Everything was delicious. Best mac salad we had on the island! Super friendly service. Highly recommend!

We loved this place. The owner was so friendly and very welcoming. We showed up on a day that the restaurant was closed but we happened to run into him when he was returning from a farmers market and he still offered to cook food for us just give him 30 minutes, let me tell you the food was worth the drive and the time, if we would've waited an hour it would've still been worth the damn time. We got the shrimp plate , ahi and steak and our minds were blown. He also made us chowder and oh lawd it was bomb. I would recommend to anyone.

On our way up to North Shore, had to stop by Wahiawa for some Kiani’s Original Guava Chicken! Highly, highly recommended if you’re in the area. Popular mixed plates include Kalbi and Chicken. Don’t sleep Crusted Mahi Mahi too! Portions are generous like the hospitality!

Got the Kalbi Short Ribs & Guava Chicken mixed plate and the Guava Chicken & Shrimp plate. You get a choice of toss greens or Mac salad. Both were good. Kalbi was tasty but wish it were thicker and more tender. The chicken was tasty but was just a tad dry. The shrimp was good- just wished there was more of it. Nothing really major to complain about here. Good eats!

Awesome little spot for some good food! I had the chicken and shrimp platter. It was amazing! The chicken was great and the shrimp were cooked perfect and had good flavor! Can't beat the price for the amount of food you get! The staff were super chill and friendly. Food took no time at all to get!

Awesome spot for local style eating. If you are here on vacation and want someplace to go and " eat where the locals do" definitely make this place a stop. Its only minutes from Waikiki and definitely worth it. Not only is it Local style food but also local style prices. Gotta try it on your next visit to Waikiki. Parking is free also.

I first tried Kiani's guava chicken months ago when my husband raved about it and I originally wasn't impressed. We ordered directly at their storefront in Wahiawa. It isn't always convenient to find parking on the main street, but once we finally did I thought the guava chicken was pretty basic and their mac salad seemed just like the kind of mac salad you can find at L&L's. I wasn't against the idea of trying them again, but Kiani's Original Guava Chicken was never the first place on my mind. My husband brought home one of their chicken plates from the food truck that drives onto base during lunch hours one day, so I had the chance to try them again and I totally loved it. I'm not sure why my second time around was different - maybe I was just super hungry, but it was really good and flavorful! It was surprisingly a large amount of food for what seemed like a smaller container than what you get by ordering at their storefront. I happily saved it for the following day. I definitely plan on going back or, at least, telling my husband to also bring me a plate next time, LOL.
