This is a place where you can enjoy 100% original barbecue without having to go to Texas. My family buys a lot of different types of food to eat often. The remaining meatWhenever I freeze it and eat it, I cover it with a wet kitchen towel and microwave it for 1 minute. It tastes just as it is.This is the best restaurant in Hawaii that serves truly delicious food. Located in Kakaoko, it is easy to find and has convenient street parking. The couple who runs it puts their heart and soul into making delicious food. Please be kind. I plan to visit again next week.Highly recommended.For your information, I am a foodie.

The guys at the job site. We’re looking at this online me as a barbecue fanatic. I have a hard time getting a barbecue fix in Hawaii that’s just be honest it cost too much to do good barbecue here with that being said Sun, Texas barbecue is true real barbecue, one of the only two places I found in Hawaii and this is the best it is not cheap, but this quality of food could not be made cheaply. If you have not tried this yet what you were doing to your taste buds is unfair. They deserve good barbecue. so I went in here and I ordered everything on the menu half pound or quarter pound of all the meat everything was phenomenal.
The best staff, atmosphere, and food is fairly priced especially for the work involved.And definitely one of my top three BBQ places in the world. And the best in the USA, and nothing on the island can touch this.

I like that option as you can have both or either or.For the main course, I opted for the classic BBQ brisket with a variety of other meats like the dinosaur ribs (beef ribs) they were huge that’s why their known as dinosaur ribs. The brisket was the highlight for me - it was incredibly tender and had a nice smoky flavor. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender. The pulled pork was also well-seasoned and moist, while the sausages had a nice kick to them.Fantastic barbecue feast but kinda pricey to be honest.Overall, this BBQ joint in kaka’ako delivered on flavor and quality. The meats were cooked to perfection, the sauces were flavorful. The owner James was friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place to any BBQ lover craving some mouthwatering smoked meats.

I ate the brisket that I wanted to try.I think it would be really delicious if you could tear it apart rather than cut it with a fork, and it would still be a little wetter or juicier.

Surprisingly great Texas BBQ in Hawaii. Fat brisket was fresh and moist. St Louis Ribs fell off the bone. Excellent creamed corn. Excellent mustard potato salad. Will be back.
When I went to Oahu, I was able to try the brisket at Sunset Texas Barbecue, which I always wanted to try. I ordered it as a plate lunch, not as a single item, but my wife and I thought it would be impossible to order for two people considering the quantity, so we only ordered one serving, but this was just the right amount. . The brisket was very tender and juicy, and the chili beans and coleslaw that came with it were delicious and satisfying. The texture was different from the beef I've eaten so far, but this restaurant has become one of the restaurants I want to visit again. (When ordering a plate lunch, I was surprised when she greeted me with "Hello" in Japanese, but she seemed to be a Korean person who could speak Japanese, so I didn't force her to order in English, and she just said "Hello" in Japanese.) I was able to place my order. And she was quite beautiful!)

My friend picked up takeout one time and I try it back then, it was good, so I finally come to buy a plate lunch and try it myself. I ordered the Brisket plate because last time I try it, it was juicy and tender. However, this time, the meat is dry and not tender at all, it is like a over cooked meat, very discounted to paid $24 for this. The plate comes with two sides. May be I will try the rib instead next time, hope it is not dry. The staffs are friendly. They do have a few table inside that you can sit down to eat.
