The place was great and the luau experience was great. As a vegetarian I was worried about the food option, but since I indicated that as part of my booking, they made a specific vegetarian tofu dish for me which was great. Really recommend it for vegetarians.

Omg we had such an amazing experience! The food was so good and loved that there was so much variety of food. Our server Christy made us feel like home and was so kind and welcoming. If you have Christy in your table then you are lucky! I see why this Luau has such great reviews. We are happy we made this a visit in our stay in Maui!
Amazing experience. Performers seemed like they were having fun!

Has really improved since the first time we visited 7 years ago. Food was really good, quick options for the kids who didn’t want the adult menu and strong vegetarian option as well. Good family fun!

If we could give this luau more than 5 stars, we definitely would!!! The food was beyond amazing - so much variety and beyond delicious! The service was exceptional. Our server, Kailen (not sure of the spelling) was so welcoming, helpful, and attentive. The atmosphere was gorgeous, and the performers were talented and definitely taught us the history and meaning of Hawaiian culture. We cannot recommend it enough!!

Such a fantastic experience for my wife and I on our Honeymoon! Beautiful venue, great entertainment, and even better food!
The photographers were great too.
Parking and walking in was a little confusing but not too much of a big deal.

Beyond spectacular! Loved every detail from the family style service to the optional professional photographer! We loved being able to chat with our table and have conversation without waiting in buffet lines a mile long. The endless drinks bar for kids and adults was phenomenal, kids love the Shirley temples and we’re going back all night. I didn’t realize when booking there was also a temporary tattoo station and more for the kids. Exceeded our expectations!

The show and its performers were great. The food was good. Our Host / Server Christy was outstanding and ensured we were comfortable and had all the food and drinks before, during and the show. She made our evening very memorable and we will be nav because of her.

Had a great time! The luau is pricey, but it is a dinner theater, and there are a lot of participants who need to be paid, along with the chefs and servers. The show is well choreographed, and they do try to encourage energy from the audience. Food was delicious! Luau is held around sunset, and some tables are in the sun. They recommend a hat, which is a good idea. You do not need to arrive early, as they have seating pre-arranged and groups are assigned to tables. Highly recommended!!

It seems like they have streamlined the show portion of the luau. They used to have the kids come up and dance, they had better dancers a few years ago. Friendly staff and still a great show. I’m hoping this review will spark a little passion amongst the powers that be, so we can return to a more lively show in the future. Like how it has been between 2013 and 2021

This was our third luau, and we felt the Te Au Moana had the best show and food we’ve ever experienced at one. We appreciated that this was not a buffet-style luau; the service was excellent. Our server ensured we had plenty of food throughout the evening. The venue is situated in a spectacular setting, with the ocean in the background, making it truly picturesque.
We booked premium seats in the first or second row but ended up in the third row (the additional fee for the preferred seating was not refundable). Unfortunately, our view of the stage was blocked by people in front of us holding their phones above their heads to record the dances. This was very disappointing. This is why we are not giving the event 5 stars.

Really enjoyed the luau. Probably the best food we’ve ever had at a luau. We loved that this was not a buffet style luau. Desserts were meh at best. I didn’t like the lengthy walk from where I dropped off the car to where the luau was set up, no valet parking included which felt cheap given how expensive the luau itself was. Bar could not serve a pina colada or anything frozen at all apparently. I really wish they would figure out how to shade the area so you’re not roasting while watching the show and to prevent a poor experience in the rain. The show was great as were the performers and servers.

For $300+ a person, this was a tremendous disappointment that feels like a cash grab.
You walk in and have to wait in a 45 min long line for a single drink. Hire more than two bartenders for an event where 200 people arrive at the same time and want drinks. It’s obvious that you artificially limit the “all inclusive” drinks by making people wait in long lines when they should be sitting down and enjoying themselves.
Towards the end of the performance, I walked up to the bar at 7:59 to get a drink. Didn’t realize that the bar closed at 8pm because they never announced final call, but I was glad I made it before the end because I was only able to get 2 drinks during the 3 hour event. Got to the bartender at 8pm on the dot and he starts cleaning the whole bar. I’m the last person in line and he won’t serve me because they are “closed at 8 and it’s been past 8 for a while”. I show him my phone with the time and he doesn’t say a word while continuing to pack up.
The show was nice, but felt extremely short (25 mins maybe?) and watered down.
This event is not worth your money. They obviously know people want to go to a luau while in hawaii, and they take advantage of it. Honestly very sad to see a Marriott property taking this approach to a sacred Hawaiian custom
