I've been to many Luau over the past 20 yrs. This Luau has the most mediocre show I've ever seen. Our cost for 2 people was over $600 so we expected much more. Also worst food ever. The poke was alright and the salad and dressing was OK. In addition I had asked them what would happen in case of rain, because there was 60 %chance of rain. I asked over 24 hours prior to event but nobody got back to me! So it rained and the winds were at about 20 mph. It was cold and miserable. The MC's microphone conked out.. the tikiy lights rained out, people left angry. I had read , before going to the Luau, that these nice resorts ( Marriott in Wailea) would move the show to inside when high percentage of chance of rain. Obviously this didn't happen. I'm angry and want my money back. I'm going to keep posting about this for a while because it's absolutely infuriating what happened. They did give us thin plastic body bags to use after a bit. But that didn't make it less wet, cold, miserable and the show and food were still awful. The restroom ran out of paper towels an hour after arriving at the event and there was nobody to tell. The show ended 1/2 hour or so earlier than was advertised. One good thing I suppose. That doesn't take away I wasted over $600 for this event and $55 plus tip for vallet parking at this Marriott as well

Why take reservations if you're not going to reserve anything? Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode.
We made reservations for the last evening (Thursday) of our 5 day Maui trip. They called us the day before our reservation to say that they are cancelling and we can either reschedule for two days later or get our money back or drive an hour away on the same day they called me when we already had other tours booked. None good options. But what made it worse is that they offer no compromise for the cancellation.
1) refund won't appear until 10 business days.
2) we can cancel and rebook at a different site but no guarantees of seating availability.
3) no discounts for the inconvenience even if we do go with the different venue.
4) if we had cancelled then they would have charged us anyways. But when they cancel then, we get no compensation for wasting the last evening of our vacation.

It was an awesome experience and a great show.
Vegetarian options: There are vegetables and fruit options, but it's served family style and they bring a specific 3 course menu to your table and you pick from those items what you want to eat.
Dietary restrictions: The show is great, but depending on your restrictions. You may not want to pay for this experience. Make sure you check out the menu before going. Everyone gets the same food
Wheelchair accessibility: It's a long walk from the parking lot and there are stairs to get to the path. I didn't see wheelchair accessibility, but sure there would have to be some where I did not go.

Yes it’s a touristy thing to do. Yes it’s spendy.
But the food is good, the show is amazing, and overall it’s well done. The only thing I’m knocking it for is the food waste. There’s got to be a better way of not wasting and having to toss all that food without the ability to donate or do something useful with it.

I researched all of the different luaus in Maui and finally decided on this one. This was definitely worth the money. I'm gluten free (I have an intolerance) and the waiter was so careful about telling me what I could and couldn't have. There were only a few things I couldn't eat, and the rest was safe. I also did not experience any cross contamination symptoms, so I think this luau is a very safe option for those with food allergies. The food was also amazing! Probably our best meal since being in Maui. The waiter was kind and attentive, always being sure to fill up water glasses and explaining what every dish was. As the sun was setting, he even offered to take a photo of our family on my phone right in front of the ocean. The drinks were delicious and the line moved pretty quickly. Each table seats 8 people (maybe more with kids) so my family of 4 sat with 2 families of 2. The show was wonderful; full of humor, excellent music and dancing, and there was an explanation of each dance and how it relates to the Polynesian heritage. We were all so impressed and I 100% recommend this luau.
