We went there to celebrate birthday but got a little disappointed by the over all service food quantity and price!
The main attraction was the lobstar though and it was good indeed!

My girlfriend has lived on island for 20 years and has always wanted to try the Canoe House so we took her for her birthday. And it did not disappoint!
Let’s be clear, we’re all here for the view….. and it lives up to the hype.
Its spectacular 🙌 But the real surprise was the food with lots of vegan options
We had 3 vegans and basically ordered every vegan item on the menu. Every dish was delicious (with the exception of the seasonal cabbage entree-which the waiter had removed from our bill-thank you). As vegans we loved so many options. Great job! They also brought some vegan desserts to round out the birthday celebrations.
We appreciated the delicious food along with the attentive service from the hostess, waiter, food runners and manager. Mahalo

We came here for their tasting menu on Christmas Eve and it was fantastic. Drinks were great too. We ordered Mai Tai’s and a spicy margarita which were excellent.

One of my fav restaurants in Hawaii and it delivered every time!
The Hawaiian / Asian fusion food was amazing and the view was hard to beat. Come here early for the best seating for the sunset.

We chose CanoeHouse for our first night in Hawaii, and the ambiance was exactly what we were looking for. We started at the bar while waiting for our table, and the service was excellent. The bartender was so friendly and gave my husband a great recommendation; I had the Purple Petal, which was incredibly well-balanced and one of the most memorable cocktails I’ve had.
For dinner, the raw appetizers were the absolute highlight—the scallops and the poke-style sashimi were incredibly fresh. Both of our fish entrees were also delicious. We finished the night with the Waimea blueberry and citrus dessert, which was light, refreshing, and the perfect end to a wonderful meal. Our serve Ian was perfectly attentive; always there when we needed him but not overbearing. Highly recommend for a special evening!

We had an outstanding meal at Canoe House. The food was exceptional! As a table of 5 adults and 2 kids we tried multiple dishes. The outstanding items were the Short Rib, Warayaki, Tataki, Mixed Greens and Kids Chicken Tenders (the best they have ever had). The only dish that we weren’t as impressed with was the Pork Chop, it wasn’t as flavourful and thoughtful as the others. It is a pricier option, but the food was worth it. My only piece of feedback was they did gratuity included for our size of group but didn’t mention or point it out when we received the bill. Overall the atmosphere and the food made it a memorable night.

The Canoe House should be added to your places to go for dinner, lunch or just appetizers. It is absolutely perfect, from the service, the view, the food, the grounds, everything is just perfect. The first time I went to the Canoe House was 1988 and I've been going ever since! Always an excellent dining experience!

My wife and I have had the pleasure of eating at the Mauna Lani resort the last 4 nights; once at Napua and then at Halani for 2 nights before visiting Canoe House. Despite the fact that Canoe House is supposedly the premier dining experience, it did not meet expectations. Service was poor, food portions small for the price and overall not worth visiting. Go to Halani for a great dining experience at Mauna Lani Resort and bypass Canoe House.

My in-laws took my husband and I here for dinner as part if our wedding gift. I was very apprehensive about going, never have seen prices so high on food before. We did the chefs choice and the waiter was able to take notes that I couldn't do anything spicy and no raw meats. They altered my dishes a little bit compared to everyone else but it was phenomenal!! If I had the money to go again, I would in a heart beat. It was an experience and really fun. The views were spectacular, the food was phenomenal and it was a fun time.

We came here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. It’s a very intimate setting and very romantic. The staff here are very nice and attentive. I would highly recommend the oysters and starters. For the mains, we had the mahimahi and prawns. The mahi-mahi were a little dry. I’m finally for desert, we had the first one on the menu, which was the chocolate cream. That was definitely worth a try. The start of the show I would say is the cocktail. 4 stars due to the mains and price (250+ for two) . Overall, would recommend this restaurant

This restaurant is expensive no doubt, but you get what you pay for! Food was excellent - get the lobster tempura and garlic fried rice for sure. The cocktails were delicious and the service was top notch! We would definitely come back for the experience!!
Excellent environment, service, menu, and wine list. Recommended for a romantic night out. Be prepared to reach into your wallet, as there is a price to be paid for this level of excellence.
I was stunned to see that a glass of wine was $34 so I ordered sangria. the food was decent not great but OK but not worthy of the high price. The atmosphere was reasonably decent if you can go somewhere else.
