Chicken In a Barrel BBQ & Da Pizza Place

Very good. Views are really nice and the food was super delicious. Service was decent and portions are on the bigger side. Overall very good.

This was a nice stop with a great tropical view and inviting staff. Sandwiches, salads and pizza were enjoyed by our group as well as the wall of beer.

Really delicious pulled pork! The chicken was pretty dry. But nothing a little barbecue sauce couldn’t fix.

And BEAUTIFUL plantation property

This is our favorite restaurant in Kauai. We have eaten at all 3 of them here and have just found out there is one at Lake Tahoe and Boise, Idaho. Sounds like a good reason to travel and explore those places!

Love Chicken in a Barrel's food and this is by far their best location. Chicken, ribs and pulled pork is delicious especially when you add their special bbq sauce.

I had chicken in a barrel earlier that week on the North shore, loved it, then as we traveled to Waimea I learned it was a small chain. Made me a little less excited about it, but it was still really good. Big fan of their loaded fries. The pizza was very good, not journal worthy, but still very enjoyable. The BBQ was good, everyone enjoyed the chicken plate.

Parking: Right next to restaurant.

Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, lots of room outside for them to run on the grass and outdoor dining to keep an eye on them.

A must stop on each visit to the island. This trip we were welcomed by Chantel, who informed us we arrived before opening. We took advantage and strolled the black sand beaches. When the restaurant opened we returned and Mel joined in on the fun. For the next couple of hours we felt as though we spent time with Ohana as we feasted on excellent food (the sampler platter is a must), and enjoyed the selection of the beer wall. We hugged our servers and wished them well before deparing on our next adventure. One of our top spots on the island, Mahalo!!!!

I can’t recommend this place enough. Great food, service, a beer wall where you can serve yourself and taste beers, and all profit goes to a good cause!

Never tried anything worse than that… and to support my opinion - most of these “restaurants”are empty - no visitors are in there comparing with other restaurants nearby.
