Chicken In a Barrel BBQ & Da Pizza Place

The place was nice, the tables were slightly sticky and one had a little bit of trash on it but it was easy to pick up so no harm done.

The food was good me and my family got, loaded nachos, wings, shredded pork, pork burger, pep pizza, and chile. Nothing was astounding but none was bad.

The place was very much do it yourself, ordering online and filling up your own drinks and finding your own seats.

It was a friday night so there was some trivia, personally didn’t participate but seemed cool just a little loud.

Seriously great food! Worth the drive if you're further out. Like, absolutely worth the drive. Even with two drinks, this was the cheapest lunch I've gotten on the island so far. I will be back before I fly out...guaranteed!!

Worst pizza I ever ate… tasted only like BBQ sauce and onions. Rest was so bland even the antarctic desert seems like a firework of emotions and impressions against it. Really incredible how a place can be called „& da pizza“ and be able to create this horrendous spawn of evil taste.
In case you think it looks kinda decent on my picture… it tastes 100x times worse.

We were recently staying at the cottages for a wedding. Arrived at 8:05 pm on 8/6/25. A large sidewalk sign outside in front of the entrance instructs guests to seat yourself and order via QR code, so we did. We ordered food and drinks. There were several other tables with guests. The food and drinks never came. After 15 minutes I found a bartender who said they were closed. I asked for manager who was unapologetic, rude and didn’t see any issue with what happened. On our walk out the bus boy started running his mouth aggressively at me like he wanted to fight. This place and their staff are a hot mess. Avoid at all costs.

Cool place with lots of seating. A unique experience, serve yourself your own beer. Fun idea, many of the beers where out when I was there.

This was a nice stop with a great tropical view and inviting staff. Sandwiches, salads and pizza were enjoyed by our group as well as the wall of beer.

Really delicious pulled pork! The chicken was pretty dry. But nothing a little barbecue sauce couldn’t fix.

And BEAUTIFUL plantation property

This is our favorite restaurant in Kauai. We have eaten at all 3 of them here and have just found out there is one at Lake Tahoe and Boise, Idaho. Sounds like a good reason to travel and explore those places!

Love Chicken in a Barrel's food and this is by far their best location. Chicken, ribs and pulled pork is delicious especially when you add their special bbq sauce.

Gotta try um guarantee gonna be good!!!!
