After a long morning at Waimea State Park, I picked Da Booze Shop because the name made me laugh. Well the jokes on me because the food, service, and atmosphere were stellar! I have always loved eating in Mom and Pop places because they always have the best food. I got the Mahi Katsu and had enough leftover for a snack. If you are traveling with kids this is a great place to eat. You can eat across the street at the park and let the kids play and expend some energy.
Got the Furikake fries and the Mahi Katsu after reading reviews and was not disappointed! The fries were a great consistency and the Mahi was fried to perfection. I wish there was a way to get the sauce more evenly distributed on the fries because some did not have any sauce and tastes bland to the ones that did.
This was a great little place to get a good burger. The order of fries was way more than my wife and I could eat. There really isn't a place to sit but there were a few stools that we sat on to eat.
