Amazing dining experience-- phenomenal food, breathtaking sunset view, fantastic service!! 🤩
I love my KonaVille Hot sandwich as a vegetarian. The maiitake mushroom paired with their special sauce and topping in this sandwich is just unbelievably delicious!!
My husband had the Grilled Shrimp Ceviche, which is a great recommendation by our server since he is not that hungry. And our server was right, the special local tomato in this dish made someone like my husband that doesn't like tomatoes chow down the whole thing!
And I'm being super serious-- DO NOT SKIP THE UBE BROWIE SUNDAE! It is mind-blowingly goooodddd!!! First of all, it is not too sweet (from a Chinese person🧏🏻♀️). This halo-halo inspired sundae, packed with unique and flavorful topping, plus the infamous Ube brownie, yummmm!!!
We had a very friendly and helpful server who taking care of us! She gave us great recommendations on the menu.
The restaurant located by the beach, make a great dining spot during sunset. Highly recommend!!!!

Used to be fantastic but the food has taken a huge dive! Cannot recommend this place anymore. It’s like they gave up on trying to serve thoughtful and fresh tasting dishes.

I loved the food. We ate at the bar and enjoyed the conversation of bartender Brandon. He was entertaining and attentive. We had the lobster tacos, poke bowl and shrimp cerviche. All were delicious. The margarita was a scrumptious desert. The lantern ceremony was also beautiful.

No better spot to enjoy crafted cocktail, fresh bites and the most stunning view of the ocean (and sunset if you time it right)!

We stayed at this hotel multiple times and we always go to this place for our first meal coming to Big Island. It could be our bad luck, the young man who took us in wasn't friendly at all. All I did was asked for a shaded area and I asked nicely. He looked very grumpy. My husband said thanks man after he took us to our table. I said perfect. The guy just walked away without acknowledging us. What's up with that?!
Thanks goodness our server was very nice. The food was ok. Their salad was not as good as the ones I tried 7 years ago and I'm still hoping they improve.
Checkin on Wednesday 4/23, around 1 PM.

This is a great bar with a casual dining experience. One of the best scenic sunset viewpoints in the area.
It is located poolside next to Brown’s in the Fairmont Orchid they don’t take reservations but you simply put your name on the waitlist and they will text you when your table is ready. You can wander around the Oceanside while you wait.

One star because the view is stunning. BUT service is below average and unfortunately the food is overpriced, low quality and small portions. We ordered the Buddha bowl which composed of mainly dry salad greens, little cucumber, little tomato, little avocado, a sprinkling of quinoa and a tablespoon (at most) of salad dressing. It was dry and completely underwhelming. No chef skills required! We could have made this in our hotel room. We will not be back.

We ate several meals during our week long stay at the Orchid, and were always highly satisfied. We ordered the Catch of the Day several times- the preparation and quality of the fish was always outstanding. Several other dishes were notable, including the Takisoba. You can't beat the setting and views. Staff friendly, attentive, professional. Somewhat limited wine selection but fantastic cocktails.
