This was the best shave ice that we got on Kauai IMHO. Great service in a funky little colorful building. The Berry Berry was awesome. This shop is highly recommended.

The ice tastes like...ice. It seems like they just squirt some food coloring on the shave ice, there is no flavor. Also, there is barely any ice cream. Disappointing.

JoJo's is a classic. Getting into this one is more difficult because the restaurant space is so small. They have additional covered seating nearby, but be warned, it is well loved by previous shave ice enthusiasts--it's sticky! Bring baby wipes or something for your hands and faces.
Honestly, probably the worst shave ice I had on the island. I don't know if it's just this location, as this is the only one I tried, but the ice was not soft and fluffy. Actually pretty icy and crunchy. Flavors were good, but maybe they're just shaving the ice too fast? I don't know. Not horrible, just definitely not the best.
