The attitude of the waitress at this restaurant was very poor, especially towards tourists. She had a permanent poker face throughout, and I thought she was incapable of smiling until she greeted the locals with a big smile. Please remember to thank every customer who chooses to dine at your restaurant. Attitude determines whether a business can last long.

Wish there was a zero star. I called ahead to check if they have any wait, which there was none. We walked in and waited for ten minutes and no one showed us the table. There were two other patrons and no one from the staff to attend. We sat ourselves down and waited another five- ten minutes before I went back and asked if they are serving. The lady went inside the kitchen pretending to talk someone and never came back. Guess they did not want to do any work. Pathetic! Don’t know how they are even open!!

I went in to order pho. It bc was highly suggested for me to order takeout instead of eating in. It was good but not amazing like back in Michigan.

If you are craving for Pho, I highly recommend you look elsewhere. Even though restaurants name “ pho Kim an “, but it looks like Chinese chef cook the Pho. The pho soup base is not great, the worse pho I ever had. the basil is awful. Look at my picture. Common, hawaii has the best fruits and veggies, can’t serve the pho with that rotten basil.

The food is really good, reasonable prices, and very fast service. We ordered two pho with everything and asked for noodles separately for our son. They brought our food within minutes. It was a perfect stop in between activities.

Server needs to adjust and learn how to serve.
Don’t need to smile to customer but don’t need to stare to customer.

The beef rib pho is amazing! The summer rolls were fresh and crisp. It was highly recommended and was soooo good.

food was delicious but would taste better in the comfort of my own home because the ladies were very rude and were visibly bothered when asked for something.

this is our second time here first time we got it to go it was amazing however they didn’t include ANY toppings sauces or anything for the pho although we asked for extra sauce and she said “it’s in the bag”

we decided to stop by here because the pho was extremely flavorful despite not having the sauces or toppings.

but to my surprise when we arrived the service was horrible. the ladies are clearly bothered with any request and the lady snatched my coffee out of my hand, cause for sure that is not a vietnamese coffee, shouldn’t be on the menu!

Sweet little spot with delicious food! The deep fried soft shell crab was crunchy and tasty and served with some leafy veggies and daikon. The shrimp pho was flavorful and served with a good portion of shrimp! It was served with bean sprouts, basil, jalapeños, lemon, and hoisin and sriracha sauces. It hit the spot! The Com Thit Nuong plate was just as appetizing. The pork was tender and grilled perfectly. The service was good. The appetizer was served quickly and our meals came out shortly after. I would definitely stop in again!

The Pho was good and the Banh mi bbq was great. The ice coffee was good as well. I was a bit disappointed by the service. The Hawaiian lady was friendly but the Vietnamese lady completely ignored me when I was attempting to ask her a question. I was dumbfounded because surely she saw that I was trying to ask her something. Turns out she didn't speak English and that's completely understandable. Just give a hand gesture that you don't understand and can't speak. Instead she was at the other table before I got a response. Overall the decor was pretty plain and the piano music was putting me to sleep. The Pho, although serviceable, was also a pretty small bowl than I'm used to. Still tasty.

We are from Sydney and this restaurant was recommended to us by our concierge at our Kona resort. We didn't rate the food because we didn't succeed in eating there. The reason being that after arriving at Pho Kim An at 7:15pm the hostess informed us that no table service was available, despite the website saying it was open every day until 8pm. We had been driving around the Big Island since 9:30am and were keen to sample their food but the only option was takeout, which ended at 7:30pm. This was of no use to us as we still faced an hour's long drive back to Kona. The hostess was very inflexible and rather terse in behaviour. So we grabbed some food from the Korean restaurant a few doors away.
