If you haven’t been to sugar roots for coffee and a sweet baked treat you should add it to your list now. The owner, Brittnee, born and raised in Kauai, creates a warm welcoming atmosphere. She is an incredibly talented baker and this is not a place to be missed. While there be sure to take moment to read through the history of her family that she openly shares through photos and books.
Purchased a very tasty piece of ube cheesecake and some excellent chocolate chip cookies from a kind and attentive sales clerk (who may have been the owner?)I plan to go back when I'm next on Kaua'i, which I very much hope will be soon!
went here for the banana mochi but all sold out pretty early! had an iced coffee with mac nut syrup instead, it was pretty good but not too special. store has free candy which i thought was cute
