Great find, and good service, had the organic tofu stir fry, they allowed me to order it mild 🌶️, even had some interesting local greens. Only thing I would change is less salty, but that might just be my own taste. One thing to be aware of is they don’t have a public restroom. Updated from previous review on 2025-08-30

Staff very knowledgeable about vegan options and sides. We had tasty bibimbap, mung bean pancake, and japchae. Not very spicy, especially compared to other Asian food on island. Still very good! Updated from previous review on 2025-07-31

Best Korean food on the island. Moved to Vegas 5 years ago and every time I visit I gotta stop here. Haven't found a better Korean place yet and I've traveled all over the USA. The number 23 is unreal but their chicken katsu and katsu sauce is like no other Always ask for extra sauce when ordering the Katsu. The lady working the register is very friendly and helpful I would definitely recommend trying here and get the number 23 or their chicken katsu.

The portions are generous. The vegetables are very fresh. It was a bit more heat (spice) than I expected so if you are sensitive to spicy food be sure to ask

I almost never give five stars, so four is a very top rating by me. The food here is delicious. The staff are super friendly and know how to steer inexperienced Korean food eaters toward the right thing. We normally eat-in and I don't think its super nice atmosphere, but its totally clean and well maintained and the food is 100% worth any minor atmosphere miss.

Always good food! Their pancakes are amazing, and so is the chicken, so is the kal bi, so is the meat jun. They cook it all to order so be patient, don't get hangry!

I liked it. Generous portion of meat and the sides are great. They have tempura Okinawan sweet potato, as well as the standard Korean sides. If they were open on Sunday, I would have gone back the next day. I placed my order with the cashier, instead of the kiosk, and she was very patient with me. It's a fast food place in a strip mall and the atmosphere is plain and simple.

Yong’s is one of the reasons I love Big Island even more. I’m already surprised to find Korean food here, but the fact that it’s also delicious is even better!

This was an unexpected find! The person working was very knowledgeable about their vegan options and they are clearly marked. We tried 2 dishes. The first was the mung bean pancake with daikon, shoyu potatoes and pipinola shoots. This was fantastic, the daikon paired really well with the pancake. We also tried the jap chae noodles with vegetables. There were okay, a little too oily for my personal preference. I would skip this next time.

Good food, impersonal atmosphere. I assume this is because staff are difficult to find anywhere. You order at a kiosk by the door and are instructed to busses your own table when done. It was pretty quick though, if you are looking for a quick sit-down style meal.
