The quality has gone way done since they got new owners. I got a BBQ beef and meat jun plate with no rice 5 veggie sides. The only thing edible was the meat jun and kimchi. BBQ beef taste/smelled old and the mung beans and seaweed were spoiled. Daikon tasted like chlorine. Cabbage was iffy. My husband got a BBQ chicken plate with rice, noodle, potato salad and tofu and ended up with food poisoning. So glad I didn't take more than a nibble of my food. I've gone there maybe 4 times in the lastvyeat thinking it must be an off day and hoping for better food but after the other night we won't be going back

I wouldn't recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Korean food, unless you are really desperate to have Korean food.

I went there today for lunch. The meal came to 44 dollars. I paid 60 cash because they charge extra if you use a card, and later discovered that I was only given 5 dollars in change.
I had the bipimbap. Small portion, with the egg overcooked and a large amount of sauce added. The sauce overpowered the other items.
Addendum, based on owner response: The missing money was minor, as the quality of the food is what will prevent me from returning. This place has been my go to lunch for the times I travel to Waimea. Unfortunately, this will be my last visit.

I grew up eating Yummys as a child and it was always so delicious. I had never eaten from this location before but I was craving a plate with just their sides so decided to buy a few plates. I was honestly disappointed. The flavoring of the sides were just not pleasant as I remember from other locations. Pretty expensive here for not big portions. My plate of sides cost $15 and they don’t give a whole lot of each. Fiancé got their korean chicken but when we opened the plate, it was not what we expected. They were more like orange chicken kind of vibes. We expected more like chicken wings/drums & not doused in sticky sauce. He was not really a fan of it either. Probably wouldn’t come back here to eat honestly.

Dietary restrictions: Yum Yum Yoon’s kitchen serves a variety of dishes. My girlfriend and I got the all i combo and the portion size was big and the food was very excellent! They also serve vegetarian combos for anyone who doesn’t eat meat/pork.

Kid-friendliness: My daughter loves their Kalbi and their Bingsoo. It’s the best in Kona!

If you like Asian food, especially Korean ones, then you could try with this restaurant. I like their fried chicken and you also would like to try if you don't know what to eat. It is located in the mall, and of course you could find enough spots to park. Their price is reasonable and their food is good to try.

My comfort food is kimchi soup and mandu. I’m greeted when I enter and they already know my order. ? Great, friendly customer service! Yum yum has new owners and they have kept the original menu on top of offering new dishes. I tried the seaweed soup recently, and I was not disappointed!

Parking: It’s located in a shopping center, so there’s ample parking in the front and back of the building

Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible parking can be found in the back of the building

It was nice to meet a Korean restaurant. It is sold even with just side dishes.Cucumber kimchi, seasoned seaweed, potato salad, stir-fried odeng, and kimchi were delicious. The owner gave us more kimchi as a service. They gave us a lot for the price and we enjoyed the various side dishes.I was a little disappointed that the vegetables were not visible in the japchae.
