Not the best experience I had when I was here.Placed myself in to a queue with about a 45 minute wait. Got messaged to head my way inside. Made my way from the car to the door, which was about 10 seconds and got a text that my queue was cancelled for not showing up.That was fixed easily enough and we still got seated. But it seems like the people working could care less. No explanation of how things worked. Nothing about scanning the QR code to order. We waited 10 minutes before finally just pushing that help button. The food was just ok too. Some things came out quickly and some things took longer. Overall, I'd probably never go to this one ever again.

Food was good but it all took really long. One of my chicken plates took 25 minutes while the place barely had anyone seated. Had to cancel the plate because we were trying to leave and then it finally showed up after we cancelled and paid.

Don't order via door dash for pickup even if it says no fee. Use Genki's official website or call

This is a chain restaurant. Atmosphere and service was fine. You order your food online using the QR code and uour food comes out on a rotaing belt. Food was decent but again this is a chain restaurant so quality isnt the best.I'm a little old fashoion, I personally I prefer a server. I would probably not ho again to this restaurant to eat.

Used to be good but they removed the large electronic screen devices to order with, and now they expect you to use your phone with their horrible online system that does not work well on small screens to order. Won’t be going back unless they bring back ordering devices.

We arrived at lunchtime and were seated promptly. The seater was very friendly and took us to a table that was quiet. After seated, the music suddenly got really loud, and was full of static and breaks (we thought that they were in the process of adjusting their sound system, but it continued) . After about 3 minutes we asked the server if something could be done about the blasting irritating static, and he brought over Kyle, the manager who took care of the situation immediately. He also returned sever times to make sure we were ok. He said that it was important that we had a great dining experience, and that he was there to do that. We were really impressed by his attitude and how he took immediate action. This combined with the delicious food there put this location as a favorite. Our server Chris, was also really good. Our water glasses and needs were always taken care of. All in all, what might have been a bad dining experience, turned out to be really pleasant because of the excellent service.

Oh, Genki sushi in Waikele, where do I even begin? Well, let's just say it was an... interesting experience.First, we were greeted by a young lady who seemed like she could use a double shot of espresso to brighten up her day. Maybe she needed some sushi to lift her spirits! Speaking of seating, they must have a thing for corners, as they tucked us away in a tiny spot right next to the employees' doorway. So close, I could almost hear their lunch break gossip! Now, about the staff, they must have an age requirement like some secret sushi club. I'm not entirely sure if there was a responsible adult in charge that evening - it felt like being at a sushi daycare! The food was a rollercoaster ride too. Our spicy ahi bombs were swimming in sauce, making the sushi rice as soggy as a wet sponge. And that Agadashi tofu? We ordered it right away, but it took an eternity to arrive. It was as if they were handcrafting it in the kitchen with delicate precision! Oh, wait, they said that's what they were doing, but it arrived barely lukewarm. Bravo, guys.On the bright side, they must've been worried we'd dry up like parched seaweed, so they kept refilling our waters, kudos for that. But hold on, I became the sushi-spy in the corner and noticed an unexpected sushi ingredient - dust! Yuck! Are they serving dust bunnies as a secret delicacy? I hope not!The only shining star in this constellation of misadventures was the tiny young lady who kindly served us water and the check. I felt like giving her a superhero cape for her extraordinary service amidst the chaos!Honestly, I'm torn about going back. It's been a while since we last visited, especially since they made the headlines for their seafood mishap. And let's be real, the service alone won't have me lining up at their door. So, Genki sushi, you've left me with mixed feelings and a craving for a more "genki" sushi experience elsewhere!
