The Kamayan Sampler is an absolute feast and a must-try! The combination of lechon fries, perfectly crispy fried chicken, garlic rice, and calamansi brings a symphony of flavors that is both savory and satisfying. The addition of ube churros is a delightful surprise, adding a unique, sweet touch to the meal. The portions are generous, making it ideal for sharing, and every bite was packed with authentic Filipino taste. Highly recommend if you're looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience!

Food! Water (calamansi refresher)! Atmosphere!
Minasa has got it all! I made it a point to drift into their parking lot 30 minutes before I needed to be at the airport and the lechon fries, spicy calamansi fried chicken rice bowl, & ube churros were well worth the trip. If I had the time, money, and metabolism to eat the entire menu in one go I would’ve but alas—this will have to wait until my next visit.

So stoked to discover this gem in Waipahu. Tucked away at the end of the strip mall, this spot could easily be overlooked but believe me when I say that it’s worth finding and going. We had the bao buns, lechon fries, veggie lumpia and the Ube churros. Every single dish was fantastic. Glad I took one quick pic of the beautiful interior because we were too excited to eat to manage to take pics of the dishes we got. Would 10/10 recommend.

After going there the first time, we keep coming back. Their Calamansi Refresher is soo delicious that I always buy 2. One with my meal and another to go.
Great family, friendly, atmosphere. They have some limited items like their Burger and I'm glad I tried it. Their fried rice is where you can't go wrong. Filipino with a twist. You will leave full and happy. (Halohalo not available on the menu, one of the workers was just so kind to share what they made ?)

Food was excellent. If you are a calamansi lover this place is for you. They have a variety of calamansi food such as fried chicken and Sisig along with a refresher. Minasa also has Ube Churros (the best!!) and Ube funnel cake. Great place, great food, great and chill atmosphere. Thank you!

Delicious Filipino food in a strip mall in Waipahu. The parking lot was quite full when I went on a Friday afternoon. The interior is trendy Hawaiian. There is a cool neon sign of a ube churro on the wall. The staff was very friendly. The food is average Hawaiian priced. The portions are huge. An appetizer and a main is more then Enough for two people. I got the calamansi fried chicken. It was fried really well with lots of flavor. She got the lechon fries. They were massive. The lechon pieces were crispy and flavorful. Overall, a fun and trendy Filipino spot!

What an amazing place with ono food and cool art! It’s a small restaurant, off the beaten path, that has a lot flavor to offer! I loved all dishes but the calamansi fried chicken and ube churros were my favorites!

Suggested a minor change in packing of take-home favorite meal…someone responded immediately, listened and took customer’s recommendation seriously and immediately. Very receptive to the feedback and recommendations.

Snagged takeout on a rainy day and it really hit the spot! The bowl lunch and the lechon fries were super satisfying comfort food and knocked us out for an afternoon food coma. Between two people we stretched everything out to two meals easily. Because it was takeout and I didn't get to eat it for ~20min everything was softer than it'd be freshly served (due to hot steam in the boxes) but the flavors were great, and good portion sizes. The churros were yummy (and obviously so gorgeous!) but didn't taste like ube at all to me- but I find that's a common problem in Hawai'i with a lot of ube desserts. Would love to try their lechon fresh next time, and their steak rice bowl :) Staff was so nice too!

We mainly came here for the Ube Churros, but are SO glad we tried the main entrees they had to offer.
The Adobo Glazed Chicken Wings, Tamarind Shrimp, Calamansi Fried Chicken, and Lumpia were all phenomenal. The fried food was so crispy, not oily at all, yet the meat inside was juicy, and the all the flavor is so good without being overpowering.
We were fortunate to speak with the Chef and learned the Tamarind Shrimp is a family recipe he is always working to perfect. The mixture of the Tamarind flavor along with the shrimp and lovely cherry tomatoes was soo good. This restaurant is clearly his fantastic interpretation of Phillipino food with a Hawaiian twist - he absolutely nailed it!
This is the type of business I love to support. On the outside it's small and unassuming, but once you step inside, from the simple clean decor, to the friendly service, and flavorful food that speaks to you, it's perfect. Please support them, I look forward to coming back next time I am in Hawaii.

Like, the food was GOOD. The service was great too (cashier was very friendly with smiles and all, and me and my friend were dining in, so they checked on us and happily answered the questions we had). Also, I honestly wasn’t expecting the inside to be nice, but it was and that caught me by surprise. The other customers dining in seemed to be having a pleasant experience as well.
Edit: I brought my parents here to dine in, and they said the rice was undercooked.

Super fast and friendly service, immensely delicious food, and large portions. The price is more than worth it.My husband and I come in 2-3 times a month when he's on his cheat day, they often come up with interesting new spins on classic Filipino favorites that we absolutely have to try every time we see their posts pop up on our instagram feeds. After a while, the owner began to recognize us and once in a while we would get a complimentary dessert which tells me they take great pride in caring for their customers and showing their appreciation.I'm a long time and forever fan of Minasa, and everyone should absolutely try their food! My personal favorites are the Steak plate, Lechon fries, and ube churros while my husband loves the Calamansi Glazed Chicken and Adobo wings but honestly, whatever you order is going to be amazing.Don't forget to try the Calamansi sparkling water, we get it every time with our food.
