Ordered food online. Received confirmation food be ready in half hour. Went to pick up food only to be told to get out and that they canceled my order due to the chef cleaned the kitchen already. Placed order at 8pm. Place closes at 9pm. Cook cleaned and closed kitchen at 745pm. Got there at 830pm to be told that they were closed. Worst part is I still got charged for my order and was told there was nothing they could.
I visited Shay's Filipino Cafe on a hot day recently, and the experience was quite uncomfortable due to the lack of air conditioning inside. The sweltering heat made it difficult to enjoy my time there. Additionally, I was disappointed to find out that they did not serve coffee until the food arrived. Food is served in styro to-go box, no plates. Food quality and taste was not bad.
Another noteworthy point is that I had to pre-pay my order before being served. While I understand the reasoning behind this policy, it did make the experience feel less welcoming and convenient.
Overall, the lack of air conditioning, extended wait for coffee, styrofoam boxes, and pre-payment requirement detracted from my enjoyment of Shay's Filipino Cafe. It's important for businesses to prioritize customer comfort and service to ensure a positive dining experience.

This is the SECOND time I called ahead to order food to go and when I got there, they didn’t have any. But this time, when I got there, they made me WAIT to see if they had any. I waited a while and even asked the guy who just came back from the kitchen if they found out yet. He said not yet and eventually told me they didn’t have any. I went there AND waited for nothing. AGAIN. I’m done with this place. The portions have gotten smaller and the prices getting higher. Taste not consistent.

This Filipino food is genuine I'm told. It's not my type of cuisine, however. Portions are good. My pancakes were not tasty..IMO. It wasn't busy so service was fast. An inability to split up a check 3way seems odd. AC wasn't working at the moment. The fried rice was delicious.

The food was great, but they really skimp on the rice. The meal comes with 2 scoops of rice but it's really 2 half scoops. Other than that, the food is awesome, and the service is great.

12/26/23 approx 6pmAlmost everything we wanted to order, they were out and didn't have. We ordered chicken pizza, kids liked it, Sarisari was decent. I ordered the 3 choice, lechon, I had the burnt dried ends, mungo beans, was decent, and gisantis, which was cold and burnt. Husband ordered the pinapaitan, it was decent just, its served in a small bowl hardly any gravy, asked to have more gravy, she adds it to my bowl, which now has a saucer with gravy spilling everywhere. Our 1st server was nice and courteous. The other one needs to work on her customer service ? when she brings our food there is no interest or concerns our bowls were plated sloppy and rice was cold. We left most of the food we ordered and just took home the pizza. Not sure if we'll ever go there again. I recommend you call ahead and make sure they have what you want.My husband said, don't waste your time or money, go to Juliez, Elena's, or Thelmas!

Always enjoy eating filipino food, and this used to be our go-to place. Like most places, the prices have gone up, but food is still delicious. Wasn't crowded when we arrived, and food came to the table pretty quick. Atmosphere is always nice

Went there as soon as they opened at 10am. The music was so loud but they eventually turned it down. The server is nice but doesn't seem that friendly. The food was pretty good! Came here for the Ube pancake but I loved the fried silet too! The longganisa fried omelet is not too bad. I was looking for more tastier longganisa tho. I was with my friend. I will take my family next time.. We wanted to eat here during the lockdow but the wait took forever. We waited maybe 2 hours or so but too hungry so we decided to go somewhere else. Looking forward to a better experience next time tho...
