This Subway was exceptionally welcoming. Though the prices have gone way up they still provide a good atmosphere to have lunch with the kids. The food was consistent with what we have come to expect and the variety of chips is good. Parking is always an issue but with patience it pays off with how nice they are here.Kid-friendliness: They gave a cookie to my youngest after we sat down!
I stopped by while I was in Waikele and got a footlong turkey sub. The sub was good. It's pretty much the same as all the other Subways. You pick your bread and decide if you want it toasted. They put on the protein and you decide on whatever sides you want to put on it. I had around $7 leftover from a gift card that I had entered into their app. The sub was a little over $10. I told the cashier that I wanted to used up the rest of the gift card amount and pay the rest of the $3 in cash. She said that she couldn't locate the gift card in their system, even though I pulled it up on the app on my phone. I'm not sure if she didn't know how to work the computer system or the system is jacked up. I ended up paying the full amount in cash. I still have that balance on my gift card that I would like to use.

This is the first restaurant I have ever been to in my entire life that did not give a complimentary cup for water or have a cup for purchase under 50 cents. Food and preparation are normal for a Subway. But no complementary water cup when I pay $13.50 for a foot long sandwich means I will not go to this Subway location ever again.

My family loves Subway for their consistent good fod and service, but not THIS Subway . . . 94-799 Lumiaina St Building 2, Suite 2L, Waipahu, HI 96797. We had a disastrous mobile order experience at the Waikele Hawaii location. Subway has given us very good service, and great food in the other locations on Oahu. In fact the Waikele location has prepared a few sandwiches for us that were just fine as well . . . but . . . on April 22 2023 we ordered two footlong sandwiches using a mobile order. It was a TERRIBLE experience. We got the sandwiches on our way home from the big city, and did not eat them until we got home. What a joke! What an insult! There are not enough negative words in the thesaurus to describe the farce of a sandwich they made for us. To be specific: the BMT sandwich normally has 3 kinds of meat, 6 pieces of each meat for a total of 18 pieces of meat. This sandwich had eight pieces of meat - instead of 18, only a sprinkle of lettuce, a few drops of yellow mustard, zero olives, zero pickles, zero onions, zero jalapenos, zero chipotle sauce, zero peppercorn ranch dressing, zero mayo. The second sandwich was even more disgusting, we ordered double meat on the chicken/bacon/ranch sandwich, but we got MUCH less than the normal portions. There was ZERO bacon, tiny bit of lettuce, ZERO sauces (asked for extra of 3 kinds), zero olives, zero pickles, zero onions, zero jalapenos, zero chipotle sauce, zero peppercorn ranch dressing, zero mayo.We didn't open up the bag of food until we got home at 8 o'clock at night. After a long hard day we were very tired and hungry so we just basically ate our two empty buns, and planned to call them in the morning to see if they would make things right. Don't count on that happening. Next day tried to call to talk to the manager - wasn't there - said they would have her call me. She did not. Went into the store later in the day - manager still not there, and the rude girl at the counter scolded me for not coming right back and bringing the food and the receipt bla bla bla. Not going back. So many other GOOD Subway locations to chose from. Not Waikele!!!!

Disappointed that my order was not ready after ordering online and getting the ready for pick up notification. Ordered a sandwich online at least 30-40mins mins ahead of time so that it would be ready on my lunch break. Didn't head there till 10-15 mins after I got the notification my Sandwich was ready. Went in and was told it hasn't even been made. Took another 10 min wait for my order. I counted 6 workers! Totally disappointed that with 6 workers you couldn't get a sandwich done. I even overheard another customer who came in after me and ordered online being told her sandwich hasn't been made yet.

This Waikele Subway is probably the word Subway on earth . I live in Waikele so it is very convenient. Consequently, I have given them numerous chances to make a decent sandwich to no avail. Not only are they extremely skimpy, they are constantly out of ingredients, they are slow, and half of the time they only have one type of bread. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra few minutes to the Subway on KaUka Boulevard.

I really loved how friendly the staffs were, especially the owner! They happily welcomed me, and when I couldn’t decide what to order, they helped me and recommended some of their best sellers. Overall, it was a great experience. I will definitely order again here in Subway Waikele.

The staff was extremely unprofessional. We wanted veg patty burger but they refused citing unavailability but we are pretty they had it but refused as it was close to their closing time as it could have taken them extra time and effort. The staff looked very inexperienced. They have hired very young people looked like students who have been not trained. They initially were okay with card payment but then suddenly the girl at the counter told us some technical error and wanted cash. They didn’t even cut the sandwich into two which they do. Pathetic service. Never going back and not recommended at all

Sorry Waikele! We used to LOVE ordering from here. We have not had any problems...until now. I think these pictures beg for help. I understand that even businesses are financially hurting but so are individuals and families. Please fix this and we will return.

They absolutely watered down the Cheddar Broccoli soup. There was very few vegetables in the soup too. They must be trying to make it go further. Although the attendant was kind her nose was fully exposed while making sandwiches. ?

FYI this is 2nd hand story cause I wasn't actually there: My bf went in today and wanted an onion and the girl serving round vegetables was so thoughtful and polite and said "bu you like one toofbruff or some Altoids wit dat too?" My bf said "pardon me?" She said "neva mine I get um." He was blown away by her thoughtfulness and sincerity and wondered how she knew of my bf's severe halitosis (maybe he was too close to the counter) and really appreciated her gesture so he said "shoots you kuys ket one creen panana color?" Sure enough she had the last green one in her pocket and he even got to choose which onion he wanted! My bf asked her what her name IS (can't be WAS cause it didn't change..present tense, HELLO) and she said it WAS, IS, and always will be KAWAIPUNAHELEMAKAIMOIMONAINAIPUNANI. I'm very impressed and thankful for this employee cause I've been going to this Subway since I escaped from OCCC in the 80's and never experienced this kind of care or concern from a worker until today (actually I still didn't experience it cause I wasn't there). I am happy an employee there said this to a customer who may not be my Mr Right but at least he's my Mr Right Now. And as for that girls thoughtfulness, like the roofing commercial where the daughter and father hug each other for the first time ever in their lives for the camera says: Once a customer always a friend:) I honestly hope she gets promoted to CEO of all custom long sandwich making with round vegetable places. Please tip this girl if you see her and not with the metal stuff ..only paper for this worker..make it rain baby!
