I have been drinking coffee since what some might call too young of an age. Been a night owl and coffee drinker since i was little, probably consistently started drinking coffee at around 10-12. In all that time, trying different brands off the shelves and from coffee shops, I finally came across a store blend for Porch Light in Ankeny, IA. I liked the flavor from the shop, so figured I'd be happy to take some home with me, along with others that Porchlight was selling from the same roasting company. I immediately fell in love with the Rio Dolce flavor, it's so rich and smooth. I have a five pound bag of it in my kitchen right now. Another great flavor is their Morning Glory. Hands down the best coffee I have ever had, at home or anywhere else.

I never really liked coffee. The only kind I could handle was a little bit of coffee in hot chocolate. Basically a mocha but less coffee. My fiancé on the other hand is a huge coffee lover. He picked up a few bags of Black Silo Coffee at Porchlight one day and when I made him coffee the smell was so intoxicating.I tried some and it was delicious. I am now a coffee drinker. I thought maybe my taste buds have changed but I have tried many brands since and this is the only one I like. The Rio Dolce and the Morning Glory are my favorites. They are so incredibly smooth and tasty. I'll continue to try other brands but honestly I don't think anything will compare to Black Silo.I bought 1lb each of Morning Glory and Rift Valley to try, and 5lbs of the Rio Dolce because my fiancé and I already knew we liked it. They ship very fast. I ordered on a Wednesday and received my coffee that Friday. I would definitely recommend giving them a try.

Looking for local coffee roaster, hit the jackpot. Options of how you like it ground or whole bean, fresh & healthy. Don't even need cream I can just black. Great flavor I ordered the Morning Glory. I will be ordering again.

I was never a huge coffee fan unless it was filled with lots of creamer!! Black Silo coffee is the only coffee I can drink on it's own! They heat roast the beans instead of gas roasting and that cuts down the acidic taste to create a smooth coffee!

Rio Dolce is a light roast with a very smooth taste and NO bitter after taste.
