“In August 2025, we visited the Fireside Winery at the Amana Colonies in Amana, Iowa. The Fireside Winery has colorful outdoor glass bottle sculptures on display. The Amana Colonies are a collection of 7 Colonies of German Heritage in Central Iowa, and they are not Amish. The Fireside Winery was fun to visit and see the outdoor decorations. Besides the Fireside Winery store, there are also many quaint shops and buildings, and they are all clean and well-maintained. Apparently, the Amana Colonies draws the highest number of visitors of any tourist attraction in Iowa. We greatly enjoyed visiting the Fireside Wine, which is part of the Amana Colonies.”
“This wasn’t always my favorite winery in the Amanas, only because they have a lot of sweet fruit wines and I like things somewhat dryer. But, they launched their Fireciders and those are incredible and the reason why I come here now!! Great staff every time we come here as well.”
“Edelweiss has great selection, great quality, and very friendly people. 10/10 recommend!”

“From Alabama and came thru Amana several years ago and on just a spur ate here on a business excursion. I have never eaten at a place that was so good from service and atmosphere to the delicious food. I’m willing to go back to Amana just to eat here again. So good”

“I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with the owner of this bakery—both in her kitchen and as a customer. We’ve even sold her cakes at my restaurant, and they’ve always been a hit. Her pies, pastries, cakes—and even her homemade dog treats—are all top-notch. She runs the bakery with the help of her family, and the love and care they put into their work really shows. As for the prices, they’re completely reasonable for the quality and care that goes into each item. Support local!”

“Great food, atmosphere, and staff. I haven't been there since I moved out of the area, but as a big Mexican food fan who has eaten at Mexican restaurants all over the country, Mi Casa ranks as one of the best.”

“A great little specialty drink shop. The atmosphere is very “zen”. The lemonade refresher was amazing and the owners were very helpful. Sounds like plans to expand are in the works. Can’t wait to see what the future holds. In the meantime, go grab some coffee, tea, lemonade or check out their other offerings!”
“Beautiful backyard setting wirh delicious ciders! The staff was not very welcoming when we arrived. The kirchen did close before the posted time so I'd be sure to ask when you arrive. We definitely enjoyed the beautiful setting and drinks!”

“Went on a holiday Sunday night. Place was busy.
Two servers working hard.
We sat out on the patio and had beers and pizza. The bacon cheese fries were great. The pizza was great. Beautiful night, cold beer, good food. Tough to beat.”
“Good vibes is an amazing place. Has really good tea bombs but even better staff❤️”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stopped in for a drink and was lucky enough to have Allecia as my bartender. Even though it was my first time there, she treated me like a regular. Super friendly, fast, and made a killer drink. You can tell she loves what she does and knows how to make people feel welcome. If you’re ever there and see Allecia behind the bar, you’re in good hands! Make sure you tip her well, she’s definitely worth it!!!”

“Very boisterous cashier. She was great and very out going.
345 and we had the whole restaurant to our selves.
My husband loved his loaded Italian sandwich. My roast beef was slightly disappointing. I have never had fat in one before. The fries were hot and crispy. They were perfect. Drinks were well mixed. Overall a good experience.”
“Great coffee, reasonable prices, website is easy to navigate, and they always deliver same day to me (locally). Haven’t purchased different coffee since trying it.”

“This place is a hidden gem! The building is about 150 years old, but the inside is updated and clean. The menu said that the building once housed a saloon and hotel. I had a turkey Reuben and fries that were tasty and reasonably priced. They were selling a lot of pizzas that looked good- maybe next time. I appreciated the relaxed atmosphere. We watched a football game while we ate. I would feel comfortable bringing kids here with me.”

“Food was good but not as good as it used to be. Service, atmosphere and food marginally fair for the price. Total dining experience not worth the recommended tipping options of 20, 25 or 30% at checkout.”

“White Cross Cellars is truly a treasure. The experience was made all the more special by the owner, who is absolutely enchanting and incredibly approachable. It was an absolute delight speaking with him—his passion for wine and the story behind his ventures added so much depth to the visit. You can tell he pours his heart into every bottle.
The wines were wonderful, but it’s the personal touch and genuine hospitality that really set this place apart. We left not just with a few bottles, but with a real appreciation for the craft and care behind them. Would love to come back again soon!”
