I hadn’t been to Ox Toke Inn since 2003. My daughter requested we eat there after her Union Iowa graduation. We did the family style option for this. Native Iowans who now live in NY this place had fond memories for all of us. On a recent visit back to Iowa my sister-in-law and I went there for lunch. I just had to have a hot beef sandwich which was amazing. And the pie selection!! A great place for good home cooked food.

Incredible German food in the heartland of Iowa. One of my favorite spots to eat on Earth. When you find yourself in Iowa, make the extra trip to the Amana Colonies and eat at Ox Yoke Inn. Just trust me on this one!

What a wonderful place to have a meal. Everything was over the top delicious!!! I had the catfish and it was the best I have ever had. Nice and crispy with great flavor. My husband had the apple pork and it was also top notch, flavortown in your mouth. Mash potatoes were excellent and the coleslaw was also the best I have ever had. The owner Bill is so a nice, warm and welcoming as was our waitress Brittney. She was very sweet and knowledgeable about everything. Very attentive to our need, which were none because she took care of everything before we even asked. I will definitely come back here again. My new favorite place. Oh, and it was my 63rd birthday so was gifted a delicious dessert ??.

Had the oven baked steak family style. It was absolutely awesome. One friend had chicken and said it was really, really good. Another friend had the catfish and said that was quite good as well.
Parking: Several handicapped parking spots and then an additional parking lot attached.
Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps available for wheelchairs canes walkers, but there is no automatic handicapped open door.

So the food here is always good. The problem is overworked and unfriendly staff. And not clarifying the menu for people that have difficulty. Charges for the family style dining can be deceptive so beware! And management won’t refund or offer any compensation for misunderstanding the charges.
Yummy food and our server sucked. Forgot a salad had to ask twice for it. When we asked for refills she acted like it was a pain. Not very friendly

You definitely won't leave hungry ordering off their family style menu! We had my father in laws birthday dinner there and just a great atmosphere to have a group of 10, that are pretty loud :) we all chose what meat we wanted, several choices, and I think we all chose different and not one complaint! So many family sides, all you want, that were delicious! Never dissapointed in the price of a meal when this is good and leave sick from eating too much! Fried chicken, best I've ever had! Desert, phenomenal!
The Sunday Brunch is amazing! You have to see it to believe it. So many choices. Made to order omelets, all kinds of salads, desserts, pork chops, chicken, meat balls, biscuits and gravey. And so much more!

Average food at best. Great facility i was really disappointed with the food. Average at best. I question if the veal was really veal. Green beans were terrible. My wife was offered a free desert upon her birthday but it was on the bill.
