Funky, charming little place. Great bubble tea with a huge variety of flavors. Owner and employees are super good folks. Parking is scarce.

For $15 a plate, it should include more than a lean cuisine portion of food. Add a soup, an egg roll and maybe then it would be worth the $15 each.
The food was good. My rice milk tea was scrumptious. Service was great. Crab Rangoon was made fresh right on the spot.
But it's the price that will keep me from coming back. Sorry.

Food was good but its very pricey for the amount you get and you're not allowed to do substitutions even if you pay more which is ridiculous. Im guessing they can get away with that with the college population in Ames. That wouldn't work in other parts of Iowa. Decent food but overpriced for portion size.

Best boba place in Ames! I've also tried a ton of their food options and I believe I've only ever disliked a dish once, and that was because I hate very specific textures rather than something wrong with the cooking. I genuinely don't know how they do it, the meats are always cooked to perfection and are so satisfying and delicious. I guess overall the food can run a bit salty, but honestly that's a win for me. Portion sizes are good for the price. Seating is pretty limited so I would recommend pickup/carryout but the vibe is super cozy and they have cute merch to look at while you wait! Absolutely would recommend!!

The best boba tea in central Iowa, hands down. The owner is very friendly and helpful, and the shop is very cozy.

We stopped for a quick lunch and it was amazing. I got fruit tea with boba, Thai popcorn chicken, crab rangoons, and Mongolian beef. All of it was superb! We will be visiting again. I cant wait to dive into my left overs.

1+1 is honestly my favorite restaurant in Ames. When I first moved in my landlord recommended it to me and now I always recommend it to others. I love their Mongolian Beef, but the rare time I get something else I always find it delicious. The restaurant has fantastic vibes and is very cozy inside. The Bobba selection is vast and I love trying new flavors. I have yet to be disappointed. The owner is the nicest person and if you go there enough she'll probably remember your name and greet you as you walk in. Honestly just an amazing place and I couldn't recommend it enough. Everyone I know who's been here just gushes about and it lives up to the hype.
