1+1 is honestly my favorite restaurant in Ames. When I first moved in my landlord recommended it to me and now I always recommend it to others. I love their Mongolian Beef, but the rare time I get something else I always find it delicious. The restaurant has fantastic vibes and is very cozy inside. The Bobba selection is vast and I love trying new flavors. I have yet to be disappointed. The owner is the nicest person and if you go there enough she'll probably remember your name and greet you as you walk in. Honestly just an amazing place and I couldn't recommend it enough. Everyone I know who's been here just gushes about and it lives up to the hype.

Was in town and had the pleasure of ordering take out. Tried out the sesame and general chicken. Most restaurants never differentiate the two. For once, 1+1 distinctly nailed exactly what I was looking for with each. Great crew and great food!

This resturant seems to primarily market itself as a boba shop, but do NOT underestimate their food. Prices are relatively high and absolutely worth every penny, my usual order of an entree and tea comes to about $23. I don't really have anything negative to say. Great food, great atmosphere, great local business. I will miss this place if/when I move out of Ames.

Love this place! Their Taiwanese popcorn chicken is crisp and juicy and the right amount of seasoning - tasted authentic. Tried their beef noodle soup too and it was delish! Their bubble teas are good - best one in town as far as boba consistency. Their drinks are a little ice heavy. Owner is very sweet. Seating area is limited. Always try to stop when I’m in the area.
Update 1/28: Did a large order for pickup and they got all the entrees and drinks correct! And the food and drinks were a hit! Can’t recommend this place enough
I can’t believe that I haven’t eaten here more often! I knew this place for their boba when they first opened, but I didn’t realize how amazing their food was until today. I got the popcorn chicken (thanks to other good reviews) and the salt & pepper ribs. Both were amazing! My husband got the spicy pork in chili oil and also loved it as a fan of spicy food like that. Can’t wait to keep trying other menu items here now!

Best boba in Ames by a mile. The prices are on par to any other "fancy beverage" place, but here you get quality behind it. Food is also really good and has large portions. Really great one stop shop for a great family meal.
It’s the best boba tea place in all of Ames! Lots of options to choose from and all of them are great. I personally haven’t tried the food so I can’t say anything about that. The place is warm and cozy but it can get a little cramped during rush hour.
Parking: Shared spots with other restaurants so it might get full

My favorite place to get food in all of Ames. Their boba is easily the best, and their food is amazing. I could order a boba and a popcorn chicken every day! The building is also super cute and they have a lot of cute merch you can buy.
The service however is one of the best things about the place. They will remember who you are after a few visits, and start greeting you by name when you come in. Everyone working there is so nice and fun to talk to! They have that "small business charm" that a lot of places don't feel like they have anymore, and it makes coming back feel great every time.

Seating is fairly scarce, so I would recommend getting carry out. You may be able to grab a seat if you get there earlier or are willing to wait a bit.
