Out of house wine. Only wine by the glass was Chianti. Out of a lot of liquor. Going out of business? Who runs out of wine? Out of tortellini. Only had enough crumble blue cheese for 1 of our salads. Really! Calzone was awesome. Companions said thei chicken parmigiana was good.
Let's just start with the service, our server was amazing! She was very attentive without bothering us. She brought our kids food out first without us asking. Our boys order the kids spaghetti and meatballs. They love it and it was the perfect size. The kids meal were $6 each. I order the chicken Caesar salad, it was delicious and it was very reasonable price. My wife order the lavender cod and it was the best. I had been to +39 many times before the pandemic and always enjoyed it. I returned I'm late September for the first time in many months, and was beyond pleased - the warm hospitality was as strong as ever, and the new chef's cooking was creative and very tasty (the pumpkin spice ravioli, eggplant parmesan, and curry chicken were all superb). I'm glad +39 is continuing to thrive as one of Ames's best dining options.
