I would rate this place at least 4 stars because normally the food is amazing. But today 6/21 the lady taking my order not only got it wrong but also forgot one of the two items. She also had an disgusting attitude with customers. If you're going to be rude at least get orders right the first time...

The food is tasty and portions are large. One of the best Mexican restaurants in Ames. Prices are great. Breakfast burritos are lit. Beef and bean and chicken burritos are excellent. I easily make 2 meals out of this and I am a big boy.

Went to take my son for what i remembered were delicious burritos, but unfortunately the 3 bean rice and cheese burritos were absolutely gross, bland with little cheese or sour cream which I payed extra for. The basics for a tasty Mexican spot is their beans and rice and they failed miserably, not only that but they charged over 10$ per burrito?!?!?!?

This abelardos has gone downhill just like the ones around des moines. I got a burrito that was ALL TORTILLA and barely any meat. The abelardos in carroll is the best one in Iowa. Never again.
