Was leery based off of the reviews, but if you want a cold drink and good service, then this is the place. The bartenders were quick, kind and diligent. It's rare to go in a bar where servers aren't just in a corner on their phone. These guys were really good! This place is well run.

ALUMNI - DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! One star is more than BNC deserves. If you are looking for rude staff and sticky floors, this is the place - otherwise, go elsewhere! There are many other bars with smiling faces, welcoming staff, and friendly bartenders on Welch to support. Walk right on by BNC and head to the other bars! BNC gets a big fat "0" from me!

Coming to ames in the summer, it's dead... which is why you would assume that the service would be speedy. It wasn't. We waited nearly an hour and a half for food, and the drinks were sitting on the bar for 20 min. Our server Andrew clearly didn't care about our experience at field house. It felt like we weee inconveniencing him by choosing to eat and drink there prob will be back only because it's right down the block, but this isn't the first bad experience I've had here- so it's definitely never my first choice.
