Our food was cold, waitress took them back and they put warm buffalo sauce on cold wings. It was horrible. The service was great they tried to help but they are not the cooks. Council Bluffs IA is where we usually go and they are fantastic everytime. Personally I would never go back to the Ames store.

I’m not a difficult customer, and I say that as someone who spent the beginning of my working career in the restaurant industry. I understand how challenging the job can be, and I’m always patient and respectful. But our experience tonight was completely avoidable and, in my opinion, unacceptable.
My three boys and I eat at this Buffalo Wild Wings regularly, so I was especially disappointed. When we arrived, the restaurant was only about half full, yet we were told there would be a 20-minute wait. A minute later, we were seated.
Our server took our drink and appetizer order quickly, but things went downhill from there. My boys received their drinks right away, but the beer I ordered never came. Our appetizers arrived about 10 minutes later, still no beer, and we didn’t see the server again until she came to take our food order another 15 minutes after that. I asked again for the beer, and she finally brought it.
From that point, it took 40 more minutes for our food to come out. During that entire stretch, the only interaction we had with our server was one drink refill. When the food finally arrived, it was clear it had been sitting under a warmer. Dry wings, cold fries and my son’s meal wasn’t ready. Instead of bringing his burger, the server brought a basket of fries and explained that the burger had to be remade because the cook put cheese on it, even though we ordered no cheese. He then had to wait even longer for his actual meal.
By then, we had been in the restaurant for over an hour. I asked for the check and a box as soon as his corrected burger arrived, but after waiting another 20 minutes with no bill, I finally walked up to the front to pay. We arrived at 6:20 and didn’t leave until just before 8:00, despite being seated almost immediately. The restaurant was still fairly empty, and our server only had one other table, which made the delays and lack of attention even more frustrating.
As someone who understands the industry, tipping only 15% was difficult for me, but this was truly the worst service and overall experience I’ve had at this location. We come here at least once or twice a month, and I know mistakes happen, which is why I’m giving two stars instead of one. But nearly every issue we experienced could have been prevented, especially on such a slow night.

We sat at the bar the bartender (receipt said Aleshia) was so attentive and friendly. She is very good with customer service. Food was meh, but her friendliness and attentiveness made the game watching experience 10 out of 10!!

Waited to be seated and was asked if we wanted to sit in the bar area or the dinning area, we chose the bar area. Hostess handed us the menus and said sit where you want. Waited for our waitress and then noticed two people were sat by a hostess in the bar area and were immediately helped by a waitress, they received their drinks and then were placing their food orders. We had not even had contact for our waitress, at that time we got up and left and I don’t think they even noticed. Poor service. Went to another place with excellent service and food.

I was with a party of 4. Later in the day. We ended up seating ourselves after waiting without anyone helping us. Had to clean our own table. Not really busy but possibly understaffed. Waited for service, food and everything else. Napkins and place settings were never brought out. We just got them ourselves. Food finally came and was good, nothing special but got the food order right and it was hot. Several times I went to the bar for drink refills and things that we asked for but were never brought out. Server seemed a little to busy but never checked on us during our meal. We had to chase him down. I don't expect much from Buffalo Wild Wings but I expected better than this. Not sure I will come back.

The bar tender Alecia would get 5 plus stars! She was doing everything! Our server was basically absent. Alecia, was doing it all…and with a smile! I love her! The fact that they advertise certain wines but NEVER have them, and it is always a different excuse aston why….we are getting a new wine menu…the lady last night drank 3 bottles…we thought we had some in the back…I have heard it all. One time the manager on duty waled over to Target and got a bottle ( my hero)! Get it together BWW’s!

Went there for the endless apps and was told they were out of onion rings on it but after we ordered the table behind us ordered onion rings just as a single app and got them. We asked our waitress about it and she said she didn’t see it on her screen but funny thing was she never looked at her screen to tell us they were out. Manager said that was weird and didn’t offer us to get them or to even take them Togo bc we were done eating by this time. Waitress smarted off several times to us. We always leave a 20-25% tip when we go out and today we left 10%. Never in my life have I been waited on by a rude waitress.

20 traditional wings all over cooked. Sampler platter, onion rings and cheese sticks looked and tasted like cooked in old or dirty oil. Waitresses to busy talking and playing on phones to bus tables or provide decent service place has really gone downhill
