“I've never been to this location before. The Marshalltown location was so bad, I didn't want to go here, but I was very pleased! Food was fresh! The salad was awesome! The chicken was fresh and superb!! I will be back to this location!! Also very clean.“

Pizza

“Best of the 3 dining halls on campus and it's not even close. Their butter chicken is easily my favorite thing I've ever eaten, and they also put out some incredible Italian meatballs, tikka masala, Chinese foods, and gyro meat, depending on the day. When they don't have any of that, there's usually some kind of rice or chicken available, and they also have pizza during all hours of operation that is WORLDS better than the crappy ones they make at Seasons/UDM. Finally, a variety of desserts including great ice cream 24/7 that's made by local farms and rotates flavors, from chocolate chip to coffee to sherbets to just plain old french vanilla. They're also happy to accomodate dietary needs or refill condiments, if you ask -- just as the other two dining halls are. Only drawback is that the late-night hours here (M-Th, 7:30-11:00 PM) offer less choices for obvious reasons, so always go earlier to avoid that if you want, or check the menu online first. Big ups to the ISU Dining team... you guys know what you're doing!!!

Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is a flat path connected to the sidewalk outside, so perfectly accessible for wheelchair users!! The place also has one of those wave-activated doors and welcomes service animals inside, like most other locations on campus.“

Seasons Marketplace Buffet • $
224 Beach Rd, Ames

“Depending on the day, Seasons can be mid or really bussin. Typically not as good on the weekends because they don't open Bonsai's (the grill area). The Bonsai area is usually open on the weekdays and when it is, the food is usually heat

Vegetarian options: They have alot of veggies, a salad bar, grill area can be vegan friendly, and vegan alternatives too“

“There is a good variety of food available here. They had Sushi Fridays till last semester (Fall 2020), don't know about the next semesters. The desserts include cookies and different kinds of brownies or cakes which are very tasty. Love the place“

Knapp Storms Complex Buffet •
808 Hayward Ave, Ames

“Storms Dining is a mixed experience for me. It is one of the smaller dining halls at Iowa State, so naturally, there are not as many options compared to other dining halls. So, there will be sone nights with a good menu selection, and some nights that aren't as good. I'd reccomend looking at the menu on the ISU dining website before going. For the most part the staff are nice and kind to customers, and the food is usually relatively warm and fresh. Storms has hours until 8:30pm, which is later than a lot of other halls. However, it is not open for dinner on Friday and is not open at all on Saturday's.“
