Family went for Easter brunch. They served like 4 bites of food, it all looked like it was from sams club. The chef did a “fancy” demonstration and made a pineapple dish. They gave my table of 10 FOUR pieces of bite sized pineapple to share?? Overly expensive and we left hungry.

We went to Clouds in Ames for Easter and the food and service was AMAZING. It became one of our favorites.
Then today we decided to invite friends and take the kids for breakfast which was “Frozen themed”. We got there and had our drinks order taken. The drinks took unusually long time to be ready (no problem I understand)
Then our friends asked how do we order for food, we said oh wait, they’re gonna bring EVERYTHING family style!
They brought what we thought was the “appetizer” which was 1 yogurt, 1 donut, 1 cookie, 2 nano sandwiches, and 1 mini cake cup per person. This was similar to the appetizer which was served on Easter.
We were excited and enjoyed the first course. Our friends were ready for the eggs and sausages and the main course. We waited 1 hour and the host let us know that the breakfast is coming to close and thanks us for visiting.
This was really disappointing. I cannot believe they charged us $164 for coffee + what I described above. I really wanted to be a regular of this place but this was disrespectful and distasteful for a place that I thought had taste and was “European-style”.
Hope they take this feedback in good faith.

Quaint
I purchased the ciabatta pesto sandwhich and was very disappointed when the sandwhich came out cold and the bread was extremely dry. It tasted old and stale. I asked to have the sandwhich warmed up and was told they were not allowed to warm it up… I guess when I pay $7.30 for a sandwhich i expect it to be fresh, with some sort of protein on it, and warmed to my liking. My friend ordered a small chai latte and the cup was not even 3/4 of the way full and tasted like sugar water, there was no spice to it.

Went to their Adams Family High Tea Party. Food was great, small tea party portions, finger sandwiches and they did a great job explaining about the foods and teas. There was a tea that some think tastes a little like popcorn. Being a lover of popcorn, I chose it first, I can't say it tasted like popcorn. Perhaps they used the tea pot for something else at one time and didn't get the smell/taste out. I would like to go again for the tea party or some of their other themed parties.

Went to a themed dinner here- and was extremely underwhelmed. There was some small themed confetti on the tables and a few of those 'floating candles' hung from the ceilings, none of the candles were on and another guest at our table took one down and figured out the batteries were in upside down so we finally got our own turned on. The food was embarrassing and drastically different than what was advertised. First course was supposed to be cheese and meat crackers and we received a piece of bread cut into four pieces with cheese whiz and bacon bits on it, second course was a generic salad, main course was a Shepards Pie that was instant potatoes and very little beef mixed in. The dessert was the worst part- it was advertised on the menu, the website, AND the host as a multi layer sticky toffee cake but we were served a (very dry) bran muffin with whipped cream and caramel sauce on the side.
The seating was so close together you were practically touching shoulders with strangers, very little effort was put into this, the servers had no idea what was happening it seemed, and I would not recommend spending money on this place for a themed meal.

Such a fun night. Detective mystery dinner - good story and clues plus amazing food. Went as part of a family weekend while visiting my son at ISU. Planning to go again.

Harry Potter themed dinner with subpar decorations. The most hilarious thing was that this bran muffin with whipped cream was presented to us as a sticky toffee trifle pudding. Luckily I had a fun friend at the event but overall would not recommend going to their themed events!

We went to the Harry Potter themed meal. Food is mass produced and worse than a dorm cafeteria. No flavor. The potatoes in the Sheppard pie were obviously fake, appetizer were two small baguette slices for portion size, dessert was supposed to be a layered cake and it was just a muffin. Literally dorm cafeteria food would be a 10/10 compared to this. Minimal decorations. Way too overpriced. Save your money and go to absolutely any other restaurant…or cook at home. It does have great views, but it stops at that.

I attended the murder mystery dinner with my Fiancé and we had such a blast. We ordered coffee, which tasted amazing and fresh. The customer service was outstanding. The owner gave us drinks on the house because we waited over half an hour for our coffee. The food was amazing, I really enjoyed the Cesar salad and the beef lasagne. The dessert was super good as well!! We both left very full and happy. The night was filled with a lot of laughter and conversations with others. The murder mystery game was very interactive and super fun if you love solving mysteries. We will be coming back in the future and telling all of our friends/family about this place! 10/10 would recommend this place for anyone just wanting to enjoy their night with good food and great conversations. 😊

The view is beautiful, and the space has a comfortable, aesthetic atmosphere with charming furniture and a unique European style. However, cafe customers often feel under prioritized—especially when events are being set up.
For example, this has happened multiple times: I've arrived early in the day, the main-level dining area is closed off for event prep, even when the event isn’t scheduled until much later in the day.
Considering that their main clientele day-to-day is ISU students (including myself), it’s frustrating that this isn’t better accommodated. There's a lack of outlets for device plug-ins and their WiFi is horrible so you need to bring chargers and a hotspot with you if you're planning on doing any type of work.
While the environment itself is nice, there’s a lack of consideration for those who come to study. When the main floor is blocked off, you’re forced upstairs, where there’s little proper seating for anyone trying to be productive.
Otherwise, it's a great place to meet up with people for a meal and coffee, or attending events.
Also—don't get the matcha latte it's literally just a matcha flavored syrup mixed into milk.
